Chapter 52: Setting the stone
Hospital
11:45am
Diana exhaled as she waited patiently for the gynaecologist to return. She closed her eyes and mentally pushed her fears to the back of her mind, needing to be strong for whatever the doctor will say to her.
She wished she had told Mark about the real reason for her visit, but she knew he had been so occupied with Simon and Dulce's problem, he had neglected his work. And knowing him, he would abandon his important meeting to come with her if he knew she was pregnant.
The sliding door gave a quiet whoosh sound as it opened and Diana turned to watch the doctor come into the room, a paper in her hands which she studiously watched, walking blindly to her seat.
"I must say to you, Mrs Roberts, that from where I see it, everything looks good. You are seven weeks along and you are healthy." The doctor said and Diana released a sigh filled with relief, she had been so worried something will go wrong.
