Chapter 53: Eyes on the road

It came as no surprise to anyone as Lucinda kept yelling at slow drivers or inconsiderate drivers on their way to the supermarket close to town. Betty kept cringing, trying her best to hide her face even though she knew most people knew who they were.

"Will you stop shouting at every driver we pass or see. This is why I dislike going out with you without Jameson in the car, you can be so overbearing and frustrating." Betty complained, taking her eyes off the paved road long enough to sneer at her mother.

Lucinda shook her head, her gaze going to the rearview mirror to catch a glimpse of Kelly, who sat patiently at the back, watching them while trying her best not to laugh at the two women. 

"Nobody owns the road, so they should get their heads together and drive or stay off the road so others can use it; it's called being considerate. If you find offense because I am telling them to use the road well, it's your business not mine." L
