Nadia’s POV

After reassuring Siya

that I would be fine by tomorrow, I headed out. Reaching the foyer, Ria came

along. I was disgruntled by her presence.

“Aww! Our crying baby!”

she mimicked a funny voice and I furrowed my eyebrows at her. “It seems our little

phoenix has lost its wings. How do you fly now?” she mocked. I chuckled till it

turned into a hard laugh. She looked behind her to see what I was laughing at.

“What is funny?” she finally asked and I straightened my face.

“What do you think is

funny, Ria? When life breaks our wings, we must learn to use our minds and

hearts to fly. And once a bird has learned how to fly, it will forever have

wings that can’t be broken,” I quoted. “It seems hotheads like you don’t

understand the meaning of falling weak and rising stronger. Tsk. You might

flatter yourself to be Italic, but I’m striking. Watch me reach the sky and

color it like a rainbow and twinkle at night like the star
