Chapter 51
"Help!"
Willow woke up to the sound of a voice crying outside the front door. She wiped her eyes and noticed the dusk through the window.
There was a loud cry again, and this time it was accompanied by bangs on the door. Willow got off the floor and rushed down the stairs with the glasses still in her hand. The empty house came into view and then the front door that shook because of all the knocking.
She placed the glasses on the table, went to the kitchen, and looked through the window to see a girl standing outside in torn blue jeans and a dirty white shirt. She had cuts on her legs that were bleeding profusely.
"Is anybody here?" She cried while knocking on the door. "Help!"
Willow grabbed the biggest knife from the kitchen and went to the front door. She opened it with a thud causing the girl to startle. Willow pulled her in when she saw a vampire running towards the house. On instinct, she held her hand out and screamed.

Wes sat on the throne with his elbow resting on his knee, and his hand slightly scratching the side of his chin. The golden crown rested on his head. "Why did you do that?" He asked in a calm manner. Willow saw the scratch on her wrist that had droplets of blood trickling out of it. She closed her eyes before wincing in pain.Although if there were any poetic justice, it would look exactly like the vampire howling in torment on the ground. Willow landed on the cold hard ground of the basement with a thud after absorbing a punch to the face. "Are you sure you want to do this?" Rick asked. The basement was filled with gym equipment and weapons that the members of the organization used to kill vampires. Rick and Willow occupied a corner, where he taught her self-defense and how to attack and kill a vampire. The rest of the basement was filled with others training to fight too. Five Months Later Willow walked down the empty street at night. The dark atmosphere and dimmed yellow light bulbs allowed very little vision ahead. She held her coat tightly with her gloved hands and wrapped her arms around herself as she quickened her pace, knowing that a vampire was following her. All that could be heard was the sound of her quick feet tapping against the concrete and the pounding of her heart. The vampire, too, quickened his pace. There was no need for him to chase the prey, but the thrill of the hunt excited him. The vampire smirked as he saw the human turn into a narrow alley. After the rest of the meeting ended and everybody dispersed, Kairav and Willow went back into the room to give a report of their day's work, but before they could do that, Rick turned towards Willow. "I don't remember approving that plan of yours," he said, referring to her open declaration of killing the king. "Somebody has to do it," was the only explanation he was going to get from her. "I do not like to be blindsided in meetings, Willow," he reprimanded. "I know you have been to the palace and know its insides, but you might not be the best person for the job." Willow hadn't told the entire truth when she revealed how she had been to the palace. She walked inside her room and shut the door, walking towards the window and looking out at the city that now stretched beyond its previous boundaries.
