I woke up to Isabella wiping my hands and face with a washcloth, the metallic scent of blood and water mixed filled our bedroom, she was humming and nodding her head to whatever music she had stored in that brain of hers.

I tried sitting up but the sharp pain running through my arm stopped me, she gently pushed me back onto the pillow and continued wiping.

A knock on the door grabbed her attention and she dropped the cloth smile and answered, Chad came in bowed, looked me over, and left so did kale.

Isabella continued moving around the room and then finally settled down next to me on the bed,

“How are you feeling?” She asked

“What happened?”

“We won.” She smiled

“I don’t remember winning.”

“It doesn’t matter what matters is that we won and now you could give me that baby you were talking about in your sleep.” She batted her eyes and ran her finger down my chest,
