Chapter 20 The vision and danger

Not wanting to go return to class, Selene left early, but instead of going back to her place of work, she went straight to her aunt’s house, needing someone to talk to.

All the weight she carried from the conflicting emotions in her was making her distraught. Unable to focus because of all the confusion. Adding to all his frustrations were all the unanswered questions she had, which continued to bother her since she got to school.

Eager to release some of those burdens, there was only one person she could talk to about it who came to her mind, the only individual who would understand her problem.

Once again, seeing those picket fences and flower filled garden brought about this warmth and calmness in her, lightening the load she’d been carrying since this morning.

“Aunt Pen?”

She couldn’t help herself, having this sense of need to call unto the woman.

Though it had only been a few days when they had gotten separated, yet the homesickness truly got to her.
