PROLOGUE

I groaned inwardly, hearing the continuous ringing of something. I blindedly reached out for my phone, and cursed inside my head when I saw Dad's name on the screen.

What the fuck does he need this time?

“Come home, we need to talk,” his voice sounded serious.

“Dad, it's saturday,” I groaned.

I don't want to go home. I don't want to hear another word from him, but I guess I don't really have a choice. His words are law.

“I know. And I need to talk to you urgently. I'll be expecting you here within an hour,” he replied, cutting off the call.

I threw my phone back into the table and silently cussed.

“Good morning, honey. Want another round?“ A woman's raspy, yet seductive voice filled my ears.

Her warm breath tickled my earlobes, while her hands made it's way into my naked body, touching and teasing my throbbing manhood. Normally, I would have liked morning sex, but not right now.

I looked at her coldly, making her stop from her attempts of touching me again. She was beautiful, and her curly, blonde locks cascaded all over her face. She licked her lips sensually, and I tried so hard to ignore my growing bulge.

“Leave,” I told her, my voice was ice cold.

She looked surprised, like she didn't expected me to send her away after a night of burning pleasure that we had shared. Her appetite for sex was too much.

“Will you call me again?“ she asked, her voice sounding hopeful.

I ignored her question, and abruptly stood up, neverminding that I'm naked. I gathered her clothes that were scattered on the floor and threw it on her face. She looked disappointed, but she didn't say a word anymore.

“Lock the door when you get out,” I said before proceeding into the bathroom.

The warm water made contact with my entire body, making me groan in extreme satisfaction.

Thirty minutes later, I found myself inside my car, driving to our mansion. My Dad and I were not in good terms. It all started when I discovered about his affairs with different women, even before Mom passed away from cancer more than three years ago. People often see us as a perfect family, but they'll never know that behind each perfect picture, lies all the rotten truth about our lives.

He's a manipulator, and he always gets away with it.

I sighed when I saw the familiar huge mansion from afar. I dreaded coming home, moreso, I didn't want to see his face.

The metal gate opened automatically, leading me into a long driveway. From the gate, you can see the mansion standing proud and tall. The elegant victorian designed house was my Mom's dream.

It looked like a paradise, surrounded by different flowers— all kinds, and colors. The wide green lawn where I had been playing back when I was a kid. Not much had changed since the last time I set foot in the place.

I walked slowly, my eyes scanning around the house. As I was approaching the door, it automatically opened, like they already expected me. Well, this house is full of security cameras, and it shouldn't be a surprise anymore.

“Sir Caspian, your father awaits you in the study room,” Raul, Dad's butler said as soon as I stepped inside the mansion.

I let out a heavy sigh.

“Alright,” I replied.

I walked upstairs slowly, passing the hallway into the study room which was located on the second floor of the house. My eyes settled to the picture frame hanging on the wall. A lump immediately formed on my throat, seeing Mom's smile. It was a smile that barely even reached her eyes, and now I knew why.

“Are you just gonna stand there?“ Dad's voice pulled me out of my trance.

I looked at him sharply, but chose not to say anything.

Aristotle Ferrer III, my Dad was a ruthless businessman, feared by many of his competitors. He was the founder of Ferrer Group of Companies, and I can't deny that despite his attitude, people have admired his skills when it comes to running his business. He was smart, and strategic.

I followed him inside the study room, and locked the door. The room was dim, and there were documents scattered all over his table where a pack of cigarette and an ashtray were laid. He picked up one stick of his cigarette, lighting it up and gently puffed the smoke while crossing legs in front of me. He looked at me, calculating my every move.

“What is it you wanted to talk?“ I asked impatiently.

This room was huge, but with him inside, it felt so small. His presence was suffocating.

“You're impatient, as always,” he remarked, putting his cigarette on the ashtray.

He moved forward, leaning his elbow on the table and looked at me seriously.

“I'm going to tell it straight to you. I'm not getting any younger, Caspian. I want to see your children growing up before I die,” he said.

My jaw clenched, sensing what he wanted to say next.

“I want you to get married, and I want you to give me an heir. I'm giving you one year,” he added.

My hands balled into a fist. I don't even have a girlfriend for fuck's sake! I'm not really a believer of romance, judging from my own experience with my family. And yet, he wanted me to get married? And then what? Cage myself in a relationship that may only destroy the woman? I may be a fucker, but I'm not that fucking heartless!

“What? Are you out of your fucking mind?“ I yelled.

“Don't you disrespect me! I'm giving you an ultimatum and that's final! I don't care who the hell you will marry, as long as you give me an heir! If you don't…” he said, leaving me hanging up.

“Or what?“ I asked, my eyes looking at him disgustedly.

“Well, if you don't, then prepare to live in hell because I will not give you even an ounce of your inheritance!“ He blurted out.

My breathing hitched, my eyes widening at his words. He gotta be fucking kidding!

“No, you can't fucking do that!“ I shouted back.

I will not fucking allow him to manipulate me or make me submit. There's no fucking way in hell that I'd marry a woman! My jaw clenched, and my stomach twitched at the thought.

His lips curved into a smirk, while his eyes emanated the danger, sending me dagger looks.

“Oh, try me, Caspian. You don't want this company ending up to someone else, do you?“ His voice was full of sarcasm, and I knew exactly what my answer would be.

I am his fucking legitimate heir. There's no way I'd give up my inheritance. I clenched my teeth, and looked at him sharply. My breathing was heavy, and my heart's almost bursting with so much anger.

“Where on earth can I find a wife?“ I asked through gritted teeth.

His cold smirk adorned his face once more, almost making me puke in disgust. He's like a monster, a predator awaiting it's helpless prey.

“That's not my fucking problem, Caspian. You sleep with a lot girls, I don't think you'll have a hard time looking for a suitable wife. Just remember, I'm only giving you a year. After that, you'll lose everything you've worked hard for!“ his words echoed inside my head like a broken record.

I walked out of the room and slammed the door hard. I'm furious! So fucking furious with that old man!

I found myself driving towards Hunter's bar.

“You're not trying to drown yourself in alcohol, are you?“ I immediately recognized Hunter's voice.

He sat beside me, and got himself a drink as well. I simply looked at him, before draining my shot glass.

“Tss. If this is the only fucking way to forget that old man's words,” I hissed.

He laughed, hearing my remark. He's my best friend, and he knows how I despise my father.

“What did he do this time?“ He asked.

“Can you believe what the fucker did? He fucking gave me an ultimatum! He told me to get married and give him a fucking heir in just a year, or he will give my inheritance to someone else!“ I blurted out.

My chest rose and fell as I feel my anger seeping. How could he do this to me?

“Well, giving him an heir is easy. All you have to do is shove your dick into someone's pussy and release your load inside,” he grinned, “What's hard is to find yourself a wife.“

The asshole was right. If only getting fucking married was as easy as counting from one to ten.

“What should I do? I don't want to be tied, you know that,” I said, helplessly.

Hunter looked at me seriously, tapping the bar counter. He then sighed, and looked at me as if he wanted to say something.

“Go, spill your shit,” I said.

“Well, since you don't want to be tied, why don't you hire someone to become your wife?“ He asked.

My forehead formed into a crease, what did he say? Hire a wife?

“I'm serious, Caspian. Find someone who you know will never be attracted to you. Someone who's willing to marry you for your money,” he said.

“But, wouldn't it be complicated? Say we get married, and have a child. What if she wanted to have more than just a piece of the cake?“ I asked, my attention now on him.

I haven't thought about it before. I waited anxiously for his reply, and my eyes grew huge, realizing how Hunter was a genius.

“And that's why you have to make a contract. Make her sign a contract that says you'll divorce after the child will be born.“
