I walked to the door to see one of the men standing.

“Boss wants you back at the house right now.” He said to me with a sense of urgency.

“But I haven’t gotten the clothes yet or picked up important things from my house.” I protested.

“That’s not a problem and it can be arranged later, we have to leave now.” He said as he began walking to the car.

“Why does he want me back at the house?”

“Don’t ask questions, you’ll see when we get there.” He replied.

I looked back to see my mum staring at me from the window. I didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye to Liam. I just waved them goodbye and gave them an “I’ll call you later” sign.

I entered the car and he drove off straight to the house. As the car sped away, I felt a mix of fear and curiosity. "What could be so urgent?" I thought to myself.
