Chapter 39

Abigail's p.o.v;

It had been weeks and we were all getting close to going stir crazy and I mean that in every sense of the word, so when my friend Hannah comes over with her boyfriend after a long day at school, I can't help but smile at her as she walks into my apartment and sits on the couch, not even acknowledging me. She has this look about her which is so unlike herself, she usually doesn't get like this unless something big was happening. It's not until Hannah starts to say things like "Do you want coffee?" and ask how my week was, I finally snap out of it because Hannah never does anything for no reason.

"Hannah," I say gently, placing my book down on the table as I turn to face her, "What's wrong? We're friends...I'd do anything for you." I pause before asking, "Please tell me what happened, maybe this time I'll be able to help."

"This isn't your business Abby." she replies shortly. I don't know why she thinks it is or what I could possibly have done that would make someone
