Chapter Twenty Two: Marry Him

While waiting for Tobias to return back in, Minah seated to the right side of the bed. As odd as it may seem when Tobias told her to stay in the room and wait until he returned, she felt a slight hint of assurance; that everything will be okay and that he had everything under his control.

Tobias was talking to the chief officer and some other cops who raided the bar early on. She guessed that the policemen must have found Gil’s dead body.

She could hear the roaring ambulance and patrol car outside the establishment.

Minah’s hand went to her face and there she realized that she was still wearing a mask. Her forehead knotted as she took off the laced eye mask. How come Tobias recognized her with that mask on?

She remembered Nathaniel. What happened to him? Did he make it out okay? For sure, Night will curse her to death once Nath gets caught by the police. Her stubbornness could bring everyone near her to jail.
