“What do you think of this? I like the design.” I said as I raised the baby cloth to Isaac.

“No. The designs are a little too dark for a newborn, maybe when he’s two.” Isaac grabbed the cloth and tossed aside. “Babies like bright colours and light. We also should consider that the baby could look like you in the selection.”

“Albinism isn’t a dominant trait in any of our family.”

“But it’s your dominant trait.”

I sighed and picked a cap with baby ducks drawn on it.

“That’s cute.” Isaac agreed with my choice and added it to the pile of baby things we had around.

I assumed we were going to do most of our shopping online, but coming out and doing a live search felt good when I wasn’t going for a routine maternal check-up.

“Should we get more?” Isaac asked, and I shook my head.

“The baby has more clothes than I could wear in a year, even if he could puke everything he eats.”

Isaac laughed and handed the cashier his card, much to my disapproval. He was very adamant on paying for everything,
