Loriann's POV

Romero lashes out at me, his comments about triplets meant to provoke me. It came so suddenly, I had little time to control myself.

I stare at the bitch in front of me now, she thinks she has it all her own way.

When I lived in Crescent Moon, she always treated me like trash. Every time she met me, she ignored me with her nose in the air and a stinky grin on her face. Once she dared to ask Zane, in front of me, why he was bothering with lowly wolves when he had so many Alpha females begging for a word with him. And we were still young and she was already so focused on her mating almost a decade on.

But now she has really gone too far.

I let her past mistakes go unpunished because Zane had become my best friend in the pack. But now that she has her paws on Romero, she will suffer my wrath. I will not spare her, my patience is long overdue.

I withdraw into myself, back to the old, humble Lori.
