Chapter 21: Their reunion

Three weeks later at Pearl City Hospital.

The beeping sounds from the multiple cardiac monitors in the emergency ward could be heard from outside the ward.

At the far end of the general emergency ward, the frail body of a child could be seen lying in a hospital bed. Her small face was swollen, while her forehead and neck had been bandaged, an IV drip was inserted into the back of her hand, an infusion her body relied on to keep it hydrated and a pulse oximeter was attached to her thumb, to measure her heartbeat and respiratory conditions.

“No! it’s been 3 weeks now, but you’re still informing me of the exact excuse,” the man said angrily, his patience was running out, he lost his beloved sister together with her husband, he was grateful their daughter survived, but since he read on the news three weeks ago about the accident and arrived at the hospital, he had been told the same old story, but now he's out of patience and won't take ‘everything is fine’ for an answer. “
