Chapter 66: Demons

I don't look at the window so as not to observe Daniel motionless, because I prefer not to continue to think about what had no future.

He is in search of love and I live to get away from him. We are definitely not in the same book, or at least, not on the same page.

The cab stops at a hotel, from which we ask for a room due to the little money we have.

Sharing a room doesn't bother us since we are used to sharing everything, so as soon as we arrive we eat a little, wash up and since we don't have enough for a change of clothes, we both sleep in the hotel robes.

I don't sleep right away, although the day was exhausting and I could tell that so much movement on David's side announced that he didn't either.

Things had been quiet for a long time, but possibly wouldn't be from now on. And that was to be expected. Living in the same country as our father at some point could lead to trouble.

My head hurts, but my eyelids start to get heavier and heavier, so I slowly fall into a deep sleep. F
