Chapter 50 Room Makeover

“Zarah, these are the homework for today.” Archer hands me a brown envelope as he walks me in front of my dorm room. He was escorting me back to my room after my duty back at the clinic, where I treated patients who were effected by the miasma. “I included my old notes in here. I hope it helps.”

“Thank you, Captain. I’m sure they will be.” I say gratefully. I have been behind with my studies for a while because of the miasma incident, which is considered a state of emergency. Since I am the only one that can purify the toxin, I barely have any time to attend my classes. Archer graduated early because he is a genius, so having him lend me his old notes is more than helpful.

Archer grins and ruffles my hair. “Make sure to get some sleep.”

A sharp tingle at the back of my neck signals the unwanted arrival of a certain demon in my room behind me. I had to suppress a sigh and hide my annoyance with a smile as I talk to Archer. “Will do. See you tomorrow!”
