Alexa's POV

The good Samaritan

The door was opened by a little girl. Probably around nine.

" Daddy" she yelled happily as she flew into his hands, successfully tackling him as he laughed.

I smiled sadly.

It reminded me of my own father. He would always show up to my room every evening with a bunch of flowers and chocolates.

For a long time, he called himself my husband and I liked it.

I shook my head, expelling the bad thoughts from my head. No use crying over spilt milk.

The little girl's attention finally was turned to me now.

On noticing me, she shyly hid behind her father's large frame, her small doe eyes peeking from behind him.

" It's nothing to be scared about honey. Go get your sister and your mum" the man said, as he waved me inside.

I took off my shoes cautiously as I studied the environment. It was a typical family house.

Portraits and pictures of the shy little girl and another older one, probably around my age hung around.

There were medals and awards hung
