chapter 13: A new dawn

Alexa's POV

When I woke up finally, it was way past my regular waking up time at the pack house.

I stretched my limbs lazily, feeling more relaxed than I ever have in the past three years.

I carefully folded the duvet, grateful for the warmth it provided me throughout the night.

Hayley was nowhere to be found. I guessed she had probably left before me.

I went down to the kitchen, looking for any remote sign of life so I could finally express my gratitude.
