1. Time Loop
(2022*BLUEVIEW, USA)  TYRE "Alright, bye." I grabbed the keys to my Hyundai sonata and kissed my wife and daughter goodbye. That's when it all happened; My death, I mean. Before that day, my life has been like every other human's, hurt within, filled with lots and lots of flaws. Maybe my life, before I died didn't have any meaning or maybe the life afterward was just too intriguing. Just like flashes before my eyes, I could still picture the way the dirt-colored truck ran into my car and tossed it onto a sidewalk with me in it. This was not how I visualized death. I had imagined my drifting away from this world in a hospital bed, old and wimpy with my wife and daughter by the bedside sobbing. There was just too much left unachieved, I wanted to be there for my Annabelle, take her to college for the very first time, and there's Christy. I haven't been the best husband to her. In that 'moment of death' frenzy, I saw a hooded man in b

2. Time Loop 2
TYRE I woke up again in my bedroom, still trying to gather up some momentum, I hadn't gotten over the incident that had claimed my life the second time. I sat upright on the bed and stroked my hair down to my face. I thought I had it figured out, turns out the law of causes and effects didn't apply, 'Que, será será; whatever will be will be' I reminded myself of the old Spanish song. If death were a person, he was darn persistent.I scurried to my feet after soliloquizing for a minute, I was beginning to detest this time loop of a thing. Well, since I was caught in it, I might as well attend to details I had overpassed. Blueview, from the windowpane, was blue as ever, arrayed with green bushes of various heights and shapes. it was 6.30 am and, trust me, all the birds in town were doing their best in letting us know.If I'm right, Christy is in the kitchen busy with the dishes and Annabelle is missing a textbook. I positioned myself against the wall at the corridor faci

3. Portal
TYREHe shot me an impaling look and then picked up his pace making him seem more suspicious, he fast-walked into a cul-de-sac and I unintelligently followed suit. He could no longer move from there as he stood still, backing me. "Hey! What's your fucking deal? " I hollered, yet he refused to look at me let alone give me his attention. He heaved a rather heavy sigh and crossed his arms behind his back. "I see you seek the truth. "I moved closer towards him. "May I ask what truth you're talking about? ""I know you have questions about why you can't just stop reliving this day. "My eyes flickered frantically. "Oh my—you know? ""Brace yourself for what I am about to say next. " He looked up for a second then turned towards me. "My name is Mann; THE GOD OF TIME... and, time is not on our side, Tyre. "The traffic going on in my head was enough to make it explode. My silver briefcase shook staggeringly and I held i

4. The Cabin
TYREI had teleported into an unfamiliar place, of course, without my briefcase. It was a place I was sure not to have been before, my back hurt like hell perhaps because I'd, unlike felines, landed on my spine.I was still on the floor trying to get myself together when a little girl flashed towards me. I stared at her meticulously as she also stared back stooping her head towards mine, weaving this strange smile on her face. She was quite attractive to the eye, I wondered why a girl of not more than Ann's age would have her hair shaved in low-cut, her hair was brown and scanty and reminded me of one of my dad's pictures he took in the eighties while he was still in the military. She spread forth her hands toward me so she could lift me, Yeah! That hand isn't going to lift this body, I ignored her protruded hands and stood up myself despite the piercing pain I felt. The sky blue shirt I put on this morning was already dust-engulfed, I

5. Rewind
(2021*LA BREA, US) JACK "Jack! Jack! " "What?! " Shakenly, Tim turned the screen of his phone towards me as his pupils shrunk with terror. "Margot, " I called gently and I grabbed Tim's phone. I saw a live feed of my sister tied and gagged up by my arch-nemesis, or as we in the special squad force like to call him; The Butcher. Everyone knew he was very invested in my family. First, he had my father killed by pushing him off the window of a fourteen-floor building after slicing his gut open with his butcher knife. My mum lost her voice and every sense of feeling after he slashed her throat on her seventieth birthday, ever since, she's been in special care, away from me, away from all this mess. Margot is all I have now, I can't let him win. I can't let him take all I have left. "I'm so sorry, " Tim said taking a few steps back and covering his mouth with his hands. "What the fuck are you sorry for? She's not dead yet is she? " I said rather

6. What We Really Are
(1920*FORT, US)TYRE"Tyre, shut the fucking door! " Jack hollered handling a rifle. We were at the frontier of the US defense, in the year; 1920, where we had time traveled. I squeezed my head out the window of the armored truck Bobby drove and spotted the incoming bullets of the German opposition. It was hell! If Bobby, for a second, didn't steady his impact on the gas, someone was going to get shot. I sat beside Bobby in the front seat while Jack strutted at the back with his head to his lower abdomen clasped outside the roof of the truck, ready to aim. I frowned. "Jack!""What?""Remind me why we are here again. ""To retrieve a shard of the fucking black stone, moron! "How long can we keep evading the German's bullets, at this rate? Bobby, the driver, was already discharging cascades of bodily fluids around his face and I could tell he was fed up. Reaching the fort was our only objective right now since that's where we wagered was safe for us.

From The Author's Desk
Hi readers, I really hope you are enjoying the book. I want you to know how much it means to me seeing my book read by you.     Firstly, I'd like to ask for your patience, this novel isn't a zombie-only apocalyptic book, as you read on, other elements will be dispensed.     Secondly I'd like you to add this book to your library, that's if you haven't already done that, reason's because; unlike other books I didn't release the bomb(climax) in the fifth chapter or so like most authors do just before they lock it. I want you to be very expectant, cause all chapters are going to be climaxed, trust me.     Finally, support me with your gems. This is my first book on this platform and I'd certainly need all the encouragements I can get. Thank you so much. HEARTS...

7. Mission Black Rock
TYRE Gloomy, I sat on a wooden chair closer to the hearth. I had wondered why a hearth would even exist in such a place. Just one innocent mistake with a fire and it'll all go berserk. Then it dawned on me that the place was probably magical and things didn't work the same way it did in the real world, I mean, The exit door was supposed to lead to the exit, wasn't it? And not to talk of the way time works in here. Neither day nor night. Neither cold nor heat. No windows to peer from. The place was a perpetual defier of nature. My mind jogged back to what Mann said without waiting for my approval. 11 years ago, I didn't propose to Christy? C'mon, that's difficult to believe especially when the experience was quite memorable. I couldn't accept it for a second, that I wasn't supposed to exist, that my existence was a mistake. It felt too real though, our relationship. I'm pretty sure Christy, somehow knows I exist even if the world thinks otherwise. Oh, w
