An Accident

“What the fuck?” Blakeley asked out loud and they noticed her presence, they both pulled away from each other and Malia rolled her eyes.

“What the fuck are you doing here?” Malia asked sternly and Blakeley remained frozen, she was still shocked because of the scene before her. It seemed so impossible.

“I… I brought your files.” She replied but her voice came out like a whisper, tears clouded her eyes as she stared at the look in Malia’s eyes. She felt no guilt.

“Great, get out.” She ordered and Blakeley turned to look at her ex-fiance with tears in her eyes.

“Dylan.” She muttered and he rolled his eyes.

“Ugh, I wasn't going to end up with you anyway.”

“You are fucking my best friend on the day you broke up with me!” She screamed and the tears streamed down her eyes. Malia and Dylan glanced at each other and burst into laughter.

“Oh my God, she thinks it's just happening.” Malia laughed.

“Yeah, I know right.” Dylan replied and pecked Malia’s lips. Blakeley stared at them in disbelief and shook her head.

“I have been such a fool.” She mumbled.

“Yeah, no doubt about that.” Malia shrugged and laughed, Blakeley couldn't stand in front of them again, she rushed out of the room and ran down the stairs. She picked up her jacket and ran out of the house.

She cried as she ran and the tears in her eyes made her vision blurry, she kept running till she got out of the estate.

The images of both of them having sex on the bed kept playing in her head, she stopped running and started to walk unconsciously. It was dark already so only a few cars were on the street.

She got opposite the bus station and looked at the traffic lights. She got it wrong and she stepped on the road, as she walked and thought about how messed up her life was.

She suddenly heard a loud bang and she felt herself flying in the air, she fell to the floor and she heard faint noises.

She whimpered as she felt pains all over her body, her head hurt and her vision became blurry. She tried to move her body but she couldn't. All she heard was distant noises as she slowly blacked out.

********

Blakeley groaned as she heard beeping sounds from her sleep, she tried to open her eyes but she felt a sharp pain in her head. She slowly opened it and her vision was a little bit fuzzy as she looked around.

She closed her eyes and opened it again then let out a moan.

“You are awake.” She heard a female voice and she turned to see a middle-aged woman.

“Huh?” She muttered.

“You have been unconscious for days.” She said and Blakeley raised her brows in confusion.

“Days?” She asked and tried to stand up but couldn't because of the pain she felt all over her body.

“Okay, let’s do this the easy way.” The woman said and picked up a little flashlight, she moved closer to the bed and turned it on.

She moved the flashlight around her face and Blakeley blinked as she did.

“Okay, that seems fine.” She muttered and turned it off.

“What is your name?”

“Bla… Blakeley.” She stuttered as she stared at the woman.

“Blakeley?”

“Blakeley Hunter.”

“How old are you?”

“Twenty-one years.”

“Where are you from?”

“Los Angeles.” She replied.

“What is the last thing you can recall before you get here?” She asked and Blakeley closed her eyes and opened it again as she tried to recall what happened.

Out of the blue, she recalled seeing Dylan and Malia together and everything came rushing to her.

“I… I was knocked down by a car, I had an accident.” She replied and the woman smiled.

“It's a miracle you didn't get a memory loss, you hit your head pretty bad.”

“Did… did you say I have been here for days?” She asked and the woman nodded in response. Her eyes widened in shock and realisation hit her.

Her parents would be worried about her. They had no idea where she was.

“Oh my God.” She groaned and sat up forcefully. She ignored the pain she felt as she pulled out the syringe in her hand.

She looked around the room and realised she wasn't in a hospital, it was more like a house.

“Miss, you need to get back in bed.” The woman said but Blakeley ignored her. She stood up and the woman tried holding her but she pushed her off.

In pain, she struggled to walk to the door and open it. Her head hurt and her vision was blurry.

She noticed a few men around dressed in black and she whimpered, the woman walked out and tried to move closer to her but Blakeley walked away from her. The guards tried holding her but the woman ordered them not to.

Blakeley struggled to walk down the hallway successfully, she climbed the stairs down carefully and the woman trailed behind. She got to the living room and she looked around.

“Where the fuck am I?” She muttered as she walked towards the exit, she pulled the door open and walked out.

Blakeley froze as she stared at the sea, her lips parted slightly as she looked around.

‘This is an island.” She thought and started to panic. She was about to take a step forward when she felt dizzy, she slowly fell to the floor and passed out.

********

Blakeley moaned in her sleep as she heard a conversation. She opened her eyes slightly and saw two people.

She recognised the woman from earlier and she wondered who the man was.

She slowly sat up and they both turned to her.

“Oh, she is awake.” The woman said and walked to her.

“How are you feeling dear?” She asked touching her forehead but Blakeley didn't give her a response, all she did was stare at the man dressed in a tuxedo in front of her.

“Excuse us, Cathrine.” He said and the lady bowed before walking out. He put his hands in his pants pocket and walked around the room.

“Wh… who are you? And why am I here?” She asked and he paused, he slowly turned to her and she gulped. For some reason, he looked intimidating.

“I’m Alex Xanders.”

“Why am I here?”

“You ran into my car.” He replied.

“Well, I’m sorry I did. But I should be in the hospital, why am I on an island?”

“I want to strike a deal with you.” He replied and moved closer to the bed.

“Did your car get damaged?” Blakeley asked, thinking he wanted her to pay for his damaged car.

“Yes, but that isn't what this is about.”

“I don't understand, I don't think I know you. Why will you want to strike a deal with me?” She asked but Alex didn't give her a response.

“You are not going to answer my question?” She asked again as she tried her best to avoid his eyes.

“Marry me.” He said out of the blue.

“Huh?”

“Marry me, Blakeley.”
