Chapter 3

Lisa POV:

"So like I said, this is my brother Ace," Evelyn said looking at her brother.

"How long has he been in a coma?" I asked softly.

"2 weeks now." She said looking at him and then at me.

"Have any doctors given anything to him?" I asked again.

His body looked completely fine, so why the long coma?

"Yes, I don't know their names," Evelyn said with a chuckle, then passed the bottles to me.

"Uhm what kind of accident did he have?" I found myself asking, looking down at my patient.

"It was a car accident," Evelyn said, her voice growing quiet. "He was driving when another car ran a red light and hit his car." She paused, clearly struggling to speak about the details.

"The doctors say he may never wake up, but I just know he will. My brother is a fighter. I have to believe that." I could hear the emotion in her voice, and I felt a wave of compassion for her. I knew how hard it must be for her to see her brother like this.

I placed my hand on her shoulder, hoping to provide some comfort.

"He is lucky to have you as his sister," I said. "I know you're doing everything you can for him, and that's all anyone can ask for." She nodded, her eyes watering.

"Thank you," she whispered. I gave her a small smile. "Now, let's go over his daily routine, shall we?" She took a deep breath and nodded, a determined look back in her eyes. "Yes, let's do this."

"He requires assistance with all of his daily needs," I began.

"This includes bathing, dressing, and eating. I know it's a lot, but we're going to take it one step at a time. Are you up for this?"

I asked Evelyn, wanting to make sure she was comfortable with everything we would be doing. She took a deep breath and nodded again. "Yes, I can do this. For Ace." I smiled and nodded, feeling inspired by her dedication to her brother.

"Okay then, let's get started."

"I thought you were hungry Lisa?" Evelyn said softly.

Why was she talking so calmly?

"Yes, but that can wait a little," I said with a smile.

"Nonsense, come on, we got lots of time for this, let's go fill up your tummy," Evelyn said with a chuckle.

I nodded my head slowly before walking with her out of the room.

I made sure to come to the door a little.

We took a few turns before arriving at the kitchen.

"What would you like to eat?" Evelyn asked.

"Uhn anything is fine," I whispered not knowing what to ask for.

"The maids are going to make a lot of meals, just pick one pls," Evelyn said softly.

"Uhm I'll like noodles please," I whispered looking away from her eyes.

Her eyes were so green like she was looking into my soul.

She called a maid and told her what to make, then walked outside.

I followed her closely still not knowing what to do.

"You know, you are the second nurse arriving here," Evelyn said.

"Why did she leave so quickly?" I asked confusedly.

"Oh, she was scared of my brother, saying he was too big and he looked like someone who could kill her," Evelyn said softly with a giggle.

I shook my head at what I heard before sitting down.

"When Ace wakes up, I won't be around anymore." She said making me look up.

"Why, isn't this your house also?" I asked.

"Nop, it's his, Ace hates me and some of our family." She said softly.

"So I'll be left with him?, Would he accept that?" I found myself asking.

"Hehe, you see, his a complicated Man, and his very rude," Evelyn said mumbling the last part.

"So how will I take care of him?" I asked confusedly.

"You will work things out, love," she said with a smile.

"Ah, the food is here." She said with a smile.

I looked at her for a moment before looking at my food.

I didn't know what to do.

Why didn't Dr. Kingston inform me about this?

I have never lived with a man before and this one is freaking rude to people.

Shaking my head, I picked up my spoon and ate slowly.

His in a coma, and we won't be sure when he will wake up, so I have time to decide.

Now I see why the other maid Left.

I thought.

"Are you going to leave also?" I heard Evelyn ask.

For a moment, I thought she was reading my mind or I might have said it without knowing.

"I don't see why I should," I said with a smile.

"Oh thank you so much, this means a lot." Evenly said.

Nodding my head, I looked back at my food

When I was done, I picked up my plates but Evelyn said I shouldn't worry that the maids would clean it up.

"I'd like to go to bed, is that ok?" I asked quietly.

She looked at me for a second before nodding her head, that smile never leaving her lips.

She was way too nice, something was going off here.

As I walked back upstairs.

I made sure I was the only one there.

I made a turn back to Ace's room.

I quickly looked down at his body again.

It made no sense, she said Ace was in a car accident, but I see no bruises on his skin.

He looked perfectly fine.

But it looked like he was giving some injection for him to be in a coma for this long.

Moving around his room.

I picked up the first injection bottle before shaking my head.

They were all too heavy for someone who got in a car accident.

Quickly, I walked toward my room, to get my medicine bag, thank God I always take it around.

I looked down at the stairs when I noticed the ghost was clear.

I entered his room and locked the door quietly.

A sigh left my lips when I had done everything.

Walking toward Ace, I quickly removed the injection in his skin.

Then I poured the remaining ones into a bottle, I needed to check what this injection meant.

They didn't give him anyone other than this.

Then I quickly injected him with my injection.

Not to make anyone noticed.

I emptied the old bottle and cleaned the inside, then turned all my injections in.

So anyone giving him his medicine will think it's the old one.

A smile on my lips when I had done everything.

Looking down at Ace One last time, I couldn't help but wonder why someone was doing this to him.

But again this is Earth, you won't know who to trust.

When everything was done.

I walked out of the room, not forgetting to give him a look one last time.
