Chapter 19

Lisa's POV:

Waking up felt strange; I couldn't believe I was married until I noticed the hickey on my neck. A groan escaped me, and I glanced at Ace, who was just smiling as if he hadn't done anything.

"I told you I don't like hickeys," I mumbled with a sigh, but all he did was laugh before heading into the bathroom.

I couldn't help but stare at his impressive ass. Damn, men with a good rear are something else. I let out a breath, walked toward the closet, and grabbed my black short dress; Ace mentioned I would meet his people today. I wasn't sure how to feel about that. I feel like I'm not ready to be The Queen; I'm just a nurse who loves taking care of people and kids.

Shaking my head, I walked out of the room toward my old room. The maids passed me, mumbling greetings, but they kept staring at my neck.

"Is something wrong?" I asked softly while looking at them. They quickly shook their heads, giggled, and walked away. Kids, I thought with a sigh, then entered my room.
