CHAPTER TWO.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Everyone dreams once I a while. In general, it is good to fantasize, but one should always remember to keep their feet on the ground at all times. What's more, pain is inevitable, we can always hope for the best and at the same time brace ourselves for the worst.

If only Myra had known what misfortune lied in her finding her mate. If only she had braced herself for the situation she was about to encounter.

If only...

At daybreak, Myra found herself in an unknown territory, welcoming but unknown nonetheless. She scanned her sorrounding and was greeted with beautiful colourful trees.Trees of all colours adorned the ground, each unique in its own way, all trying to outshine one another and at the same time working together to keep the grounds as alluring as a bride decked for her wedding night.

She would have mistaken it for heaven had she not already heard stories of the Cresent pack. Now that she was witnessing it she had to admit that the stories had done the place quite an injustice.

The peaceful aura made her smile and she let herself inhale peace for a change.

However, her peaceful moment didn't last long. Before she could comprehend what was going on, she had already been sorrounded by warriors.

Her plan at first was to explain herself, that way they might set her free but she did't get the chance to. She was chained and brought to her knees almost immediately. Hazily, her gaze met those of the worriors, then shifted slowly to their alpha. He looked scary, strict and serious.

She was about to look away from him when he moved his head and their gaze locked.

"Mate" she heard Rhea yell in her head, jumping up and down recklesly.

She took in his scent and realized that Rhea was right. He indeed was her mate if the intoxicating scent he wore was anything to go by. She felt an emotion she had long forgotten existed, happiness.

She was about to speak when he beat her to it.

"Take her to the dungeon" He commanded with so much power she nearly bowed, then realized what he had said.

Why would he want his mate locked up? Didn't he feel the bond? or maybe he just wanted to ignore it. Whatever the reason was, she deserved an explanation.

"Wait, alpha. " she spoke" I am your mate, don't you feel the bond?' she waivered at the last part, her voice portraying her pain at the rejection.

In fact, she was so hurt that she nearly missed the gasps around her.

"Come with me" he said looking straight into her eyes.

Once she was free she followed the alpha into his house. He sure was wealthy, because that house could have been mistaken for Burkingham palace. She took in the sight around her with awe.

Footsteps from the behind her made her turn around and in her line of vision appeared a beautiful , curvy woman . Without even knowing it, she found herself getting angry.

"I am alpha xavier, and this is my mate Sarah" the alpha announced much to Myra's horror. She faltered and reached out to the nearby table for support.

How could it be that he already had a mate, she felt it , the mate bond, his scent. How could it be that...No, that couldn't be. She surely had heard him wrong.

She felt suffocated, unable to breathe and worst of all, she couldn't feel her wolf.

Oh she was shattered! So much at the moment she wished for death.

"Are you okay" she heard the woman, Sarah, speak.

"I am fine" she said with a fake smile .

She should have known, bad luck has always enclosed her like her very skin.
