CHAPTER SEVEN

THIRD PERSON'S POV

They say it is hard to wait for something that you are not sure would ever belong to you, but it is even harder to give up on someone knowing they are all you want. Till today Myra had thought this quote was utter nonsence, that was before she found herself in the same situation. Even she knew that no matter how much pain Xavier gave her, she would always stay and hope that one day he will be hers.

It has been a week since the incident with Sarah. Myra hadn't seen Sarah since that night. Rumour had it that she had found her mate and left with him. This should have brought relief to Myra and perhaps some hope to her relationship with Xavier, but no. Nothing changed.

Only Myra could attest to how hard it was to have your mate in the next room, to smell their scent all around you and still be unmated. But she was strong, she had gone through so many years of slavery and torture, how could this be any different? It shouldn't have been, but it was. Time and again she would find herself at his door, most of the time she spent her nights there, that was the closest to him she could get.

It may not have been enough, but it was something.

It was the middle of the night and Myra was asleep in her room, at least she was trying to sleep. Added to the fact that she was missing her mate, that night was the night before her parents death anniversary and it always brought back all the horrible memmories.

She got up from the bed to have drink a glass of water, when she reached for her bedside table, there was none.

She should have just gone back to sleep, but no. She made her way to kitchen hoping to bring some water from there. This was her first mistake and the second, was the fact that she decide to check when she heard some noise. Her third mistake was that despite the fact that the noise was coming out of Xavier's room, she decide to check it.

She slowly made her way to the door and opened it. Not knowing it would cause her more pain than she had anticipated. There in front of her was Xavier making out with a woman she could not recognize.

Perhaps if she had left earlier then she wouldn't have had to catch a glimpse of the disgust in Xavier's eyes at her actions of badging into his room.

"Get out" he bellowed but she didn't move perhaps from the shock or maybe the anger.

"Get out" she repeated as the woman with him hid under the covers.

This was more than enough proof that he would never accept her. He would rather have anyone else but her and this realization pained more than the rejection he had showed her all this time.

Still she wouldn't back down. She was his mate, she had the right to this much.
