"Yes, I have all your requirements, Mr Donald. I will make sure you have the best anniversary this year. Thank you so much for trusting me and my company. We will not disappoint you. Okay, see you then. Have a nice day!" She spoke in a professional tone and cut the video conference which she was having with one of her clients.
The smile which she was wearing till now was off her face as soon as she cut the call and wore her usual poker face.
"Gosh, I am exhausted." She said and let out a sigh. She looked at the watch on her wrist to see it was five in the afternoon already. As if her busy schedule wasn't enough, now she has to go back to the mansion to go through another mental turmoil.
Another freaking family dinner!
She let out another sigh at the thought of it. She looked through her phone to see if she had missed any call or important messages. Suddenly she remembe
Leave me reviews and gems!
"You remember the promise, right?" Elijah asked one last time before tapping the switch of the calling bell of the Watson mansion. Sarah gritted her teeth after hearing him saying the same thing for the umpteenth time now. She has started getting frustrated. She turned around to glare at him. "Yes, yes, I remember! I will not lose my temper and snap at them. I will just sit there like a robot as they play with you as if you are a ragged doll. I will not try to talk to you till the time we are around my family and behave cold around you and them so that they don't find out about what's going on between us. You basically want me to act like a complete careless stranger just the moment we get inside the mansion or whenever we are surrounded by people. That is what you want, right?" She snapped at him harmlessly after not being able to hear his constant reminder of the stupid promise which she made an hour or so ago.
IN SARAH'S OFFICE "That's unbelievable!" Mary exclaimed in shock. "How could you miss this point?! How could they keep this kind of clause in the contract?! That's utterly insane?! But again, how can you miss this point?!" She yelled in total frustration while throwing her hands up and around. "Will you stop throwing your hands around and yelling? They are giving me a headache now!" Sarah said in irritation while rubbing her forehead which actually started to form a headache. "Seriously?! Are you worried about that? Didn't you hear a word of what I was saying? We are in deep trouble! Think about that! Not about my hands and tone!" Mary snapped at her again. "Well, I am trying to do that. But if you stop distracting me with your hands and yell, I might just be successful in thinking of something useful as well." Sarah snapped back which made Mary huff. "Just sit down for a se
"Grandma? Don't you think that 'the family dinners' are becoming too common and often in this house nowadays?" Natasha asked in a sarcastic tone while having a sweet smile on her face. Helena looked at her in displeasure and irritation as she put on a long face at Natasha. Everyone at the table went silent and looked at Helena with anticipation, waiting for her to give Natasha a piece of her mind. Samantha kicked Natasha under the table, making her look at her with a frown of confusion. In response, Samantha glared at her. "If you don't like the family dinners, you might absolutely hate the idea of being one of the heirs of the family too, right, Natasha?" Helena snapped at her in her cold tone. Natasha's eyes widened like saucers after hearing that and her mouth hand opened. "No! No! Grandma! I didn't mean that!" Natasha exclaimed in shock while getting caught off guard.
"Everyone! I demand everyone's attention solely on me." Helena said in a loud and clear voice and waited for one minute to work according to her words and look at her, leaving whatever they were doing. She smiled in satisfaction after she got everyone's attention on her in less than ten seconds. "Now that I've got everyone's attention on me, I would like to start the main topic of today's meeting." She said and everyone looked at her with more concentration. "What is it, grandma? Do you want Sarah to give you great grandchildren this time?" Liam asked in an insulting tone while throwing a smirk toward Sarah. Almost laughed out loud hearing that. Sarah's blood boiled at that. She absolutely hated how everyone thought that it's funny to make fun of her every time. There was someone else who hated seeing her get teased. He silently witnessed the scene and promised to himself to change it soon.
"How are they gonna play a big role in this?" Liam asked with a small frown. Helena nodded at him. "I have set up some steps for five of you. Hard steps which you all have to cross in order to reach your goals." Helena started talking while looking at all five of them and her eyes stopped at Sarah. Sarah looked at her with raised eyebrows after hearing that. It sounded so funny to her ears. "The same for everyone?" Sarah asked while looking at Helena directly into the eyes to make her intimidate enough to show what she planned in her eyes. Helena's eyes flattered under her gaze but she couldn't fall weak. She looked away from her for a second before looking back at her. "Yes! The same rules for everyone but can't guarantee about the journey. It can be smooth for some but bumpy for others." Helena replied and Sarah didn't take much to understand what Helena meant by that. Her face
After Helena was not distributing all the files to everyone, she went back to her seat and sat down. She was silent for a moment before looking back at them. "You all must be wondering what's inside. Let me inform you that there are listed five tasks inside the file for all five of you to complete. It's the same for everyone one of you. Before you open the file and read the rules one by one, I would like to inform our respective vice-president's' role in all these." She said and took a break for a few seconds before continuing again. "They are the vice president of our companies as I already mentioned. Each of them are aware of every single thing about the company after the CEO, which is me. Still. As they know everything about the company, hence they are going to be like your guardian angel in this." Helena said. "How?" Natasha questioned in confusion. She wasn't understanding things about companies and all.
"Read out loud all the five rules one by one!" Helena ordered and all five of them opened their files at the same time. The audience of the room waited with held breath to see what else Helena Watson had prepared for the five proud heirs of the Watson family. "To be the winner one must top out of all the five companies in every aspect." Liam read out loud with a deep frown on his face. Worried line has already appeared on all of their faces after hearing that? They don't have any idea of their temporary company. Then how the hell are they going to make it to the top?! "To be the winner, one must have the biggest business shot of the country as a client for the next five years or more." Natasha read out the second rules and once again, none of them liked it all. Biggest business shot? Where are they going to find the biggest business shot? I
"Wish me luck." She whispered after nearing him so that no one could hear her. They all looked at both of them and wondered what they were talking about. Elijah was shocked would be an understatement. He looked up once to see everyone looking at them before looking down fast. "I wish you all the best." He said hurriedly. "I will wish you more well after we leave the mansion. Till then please excuse me." He said in a low tone before walking toward the exit of the mansion with a hurried step. Sarah kept looking at his back with a small frown and smiled a little after thinking that he might have gotten surprised and flustered after seeing that she came to him at first for the wish. After that she was walking back to everyone when her eyes fell on her phone on the couch where she was sitting. It was ringing continuously. She frowned and went up to see the call ended. She picked it up. &n
