Chapter Eighty Four

Stand off:

Norris paced the woods just outside Black Mountain. He was waiting for the signal or for Arkyn to arrive. He had been waiting for this moment. He really wished it had been his father. Not much was said about how he died. He hoped he suffered. Died slowly, painfully. Alone. Norris ran his hair through his short sandy color hair. His dark green eyes studying the entrance. Years of living in the Dark Forest made his eyes accustomed to the dark, he could see for miles. The weather was not bothering him either. No sunshine meant the forest did not get warm. He clenched his jaw waiting.

“Alpha, any sign yet?” Curt said walking up to his side, his dark brown eyes scanning the entrance as he tossed his braid behind him.

“No but there was a jailbreak for a second. I sent word to Jonah that the raven hair girl jumped out the window and broke Arkyn’s men out of jail.” Norris smiled a little.

“A girl?” Curt asked his eyes scanning for a child.
