Let's Divorce

Episode 1

"Congratulations, ma'am You're two weeks pregnant." The pretty Chinese doctor announced, beaming with smiles, her chubby cheeks becoming more round.

Audrey McStuffins stared at the woman behind the desk, stunned. Pregnant? She hadn't known.

And she was about divorcing her billionaire husband, Ricky Anderson, the only heir to the Anderson group.

How could she not, when she'd loved him for seven years without any reciprocation from him? She'd foolishly drooled over him, let herself be pushed around, and even went as far as signing a secret contract marriage just for him to honor his grandfather's dying wish.

"Ma'am?" The doctor called, and the latter snapped out of her thoughts.

She smiled, reached her hands down the surface of her flat belly, and rubbed gently. Her eyes moistening, she smiled. "I have a little Audrey in here?"

The doctor smiled, handed over a white piece of paper. "Yes. I recommend you sign up for checkups.

"Early pregnancy can be a bit stressful. I employ you to pay attention to any changes, okay?ps and other routines for pregnancy. Go to the gym, do yoga and eat a lot of fruit."

Audrey smiled, nodded. "I will, doc. Thank you so much."

Few minutes later, she was out of the office, in the elevator and down the lobby. She got out of the hospital, found her car in the garage and got in. For a while, she sat with her head over the steering wheel.

As far as she was concerned, this pregnancy wasn't going to ruin her plans. Her two years marriage with Ricky has got to end. She was done wallowing in self-pity.

She ignited the car, rolled out of the hospital premises and hit the road.

Audrey got to Weston estate, and as she came down from the car in the garage, she saw Ricky waiting at the long verandah of the main house. He stood against the door frame, his legs crossed at the front, and his hands thrust into his pants pockets.

His flannel shirt was opened at the collar with his white tie loosened. His hair, a matching color of dark brown with his neatly shaved beared, was disheveled, making him look even more hotter than he already was.

He had a nonchalant yet accusing look on his handsome face, his love shaped lips were pouting at a corner.

Audrey stared at him, lips parting. He was the most attractive man she'd ever come across.

"Where in heaven's name have you been, Mrs. Anderson?" Ricky asked in his baritone as soon as she got closer, eyes narrowing.

Audrey smiled slightly at the sound of 'Mrs. Anderson'. However, it disappeared as soon as it appeared on her face knowing it was just a false alarm. "I've been...away with some friends. I didn't think... you'd look for me."

Ricky straightened, took some steps away from the door, his eyes on Audrey. "Friends? What friends?"

Audrey cast him a slight glance, shrugged. "Friends from school. We met up briefly."

Ricky nodded, a suspicious look on his face. He turned and started heading back to the door. He walked in without sparing Audrey a glance.

She stared after the door with eyes clouded with sadness. In the next few weeks, this incredibly handsome heir would be her ex. Slowly, she followed him in.

In the kitchen, Audrey hovered around the large desk, trying to make supper without throwing up. She glanced over the bubbling stew on the cooker, and finally gave up.

She rushed out, found the visitor's restroom, and released everything in her throat into the toilet dish. Few minutes later, she was in front of the mirror, wiping her face and mouth.

She stood there for a while, staring at her reflection, reflecting on the first time she'd set her eyes on Ricky Anderson.

It was in college, and she'd been mesmerized by how cute a boy could look. The girls in school were drooling over him, and Audrey became obsessed with the idea of making him her boyfriend.

Her obsession went above that, and far into the university where she insisted on being in the same department as Ricky.

She thought her prayers were being answered when he finally noticed her at final year. She was disappointed to find out he only approached her for a contract marriage.

Nevertheless, she jumped at the opportunity to be his wife for three years, hoping he would come to love her before the contract would expire.

It'd been two years, and Ricky still treated her like she was just one of the decorations in the living room.

Audrey breathed, turned away from the mirror and left the restroom. She decided to pass by Ricky's room to inform him of super.

She stopped in front of the door, lifted her palm to knock, and stopped midway at the sound of a woman's voice. Shaking visibly with anger, Audrey lowered her hand, glaring angrily at the door.

She felt disrespected. Humiliated. Blinded by anger, she grabbed the door knob, and pushed the door open.

On the king sized bed was Ricky over a blonde woman who looked strangely family.

Audrey stood in front of the door, her eyes filled with betrayal as she stared at Ricky. It hadn't been the first time she would see him with other women, but this is the first time he was bringing them home.

Ricky sighed deeply, obviously mad as he sat up. He took his hazel eyes to Audrey, his teeth clenched. "What are you doing?"

Audrey scoffed, her hands clenched. "Don't you think I should be asking you that!" She yelled, a tear drop followed, running down her chin.

Ricky turned to look at the clad woman behind him, and back at Audrey. "As you can see, I'm having a nice time with someone."

Audrey nodded, took her eyes off Ricky and to the woman. "I'm sorry for interrupting." Her voice shook.

The woman smoothed her hand over her hair, a triumphant smile on her face. She covered her naked chest with the duvet, totally mute as she stared back at Audrey.

"Leave the room. We will talk about this later..."

"No, there will be no later, Ricky. Let's divorce." Audrey blurted out, shocking the hell out of Ricky.

"What?" Ricky laughed with an amused look on his face.
