Chapter XXVII

Taegen turned his head and saw the Dark Creatures screaming and transforming into dust. The pumas were groaning and hiding their face from the light. He took advantage of this situation to escape from the main hall and climb the stairs.

The light was slowly fading as the screams stopped. He could see clearer now, the corridors were narrow, only portraits of Adalis hung on the wall, still with the same dark colour in the eyes.

“Diamond!” he called, hoping he would get an answer from the young man. He opened room after room, finding nothing but empty beds and dusty chairs. He heard loud footsteps, he cursed when he felt someone following him. He turned and saw two knights with a Leonus running toward him. He pressed his lips and ran escaping from them. He climbed other stairs and drew another sword to get ready to fight them. He kept running until he arrived at the top of the castle when he had no way to escape from.
