Chapter 4 Teaching Them a Lesson

When Natasha raised her head in satisfaction, she happened to hear Larissa asking if she could fire those who had bullied her.

She held her stomach and burst into laughter.

"Larissa, your acting is quite good. I never thought that you could be so funny! This is simply hilarious!"

The security guards laughed as well and shook their heads. They found it amusing how young women these days aspired to great heights, unaware that their destinies might not allow them to realize those dreams.

Right then, the elevator doors opened.

Ambrose's assistant, Owen Clark, rushed out in a cold sweat.

Natasha was stunned. "Mr. Clark?"

However, Owen didn't even spare her a glance and hurriedly ran over to Larissa. "Mrs.—"

Larissa secretly turned her head from side to side.

Owen immediately corrected himself and said, "Ms. Solace, welcome to Hamilton Group! I'm sorry to have caused you inconvenience!"

At the sight of that, Natasha was so shocked that her eyes almost popped out of her head.

What was going on?

It was said that Owen had come over with Ambrose from Hamilton Group's headquarters in Jaedornia.

Natasha wondered why someone like him humbled himself in front of Larissa, who was just a country bumpkin.

"Ms. Solace, who bullied you?" Owen asked.

Letting out a sneer, Larissa pointed at Natasha and the two security guards. "It's them! I want to fire them!"

With a piercing gaze, Owen said coldly, "Didn't you hear that? You're fired! Buzz out of Hamilton Group now!"

The two guards were extremely regretful and pleaded in tears. "We're sorry! We were just following the company's rules and didn't intend to mistreat this young lady. We have families to take care of. If we lose this job, we'll have no choice but to resort to extremities!"

Larissa thought for a while before saying to Owen, "Just let them off the hook. They were just acting in accordance with the rules."

Although she had Ambrose backing her up, she wasn't an unreasonable person.

Owen obeyed Larissa's order. He ordered the guards, "Go and inform everyone in the security department to remember Ms. Solace's face clearly. If she comes to the company again in the future, they'll have to treat her with respect and not block her way, understand?"

"Yes!" The two security guards bowed to Larissa repeatedly. "Thank you so much, Ms. Solace!"

Natasha was dumbfounded. Right then, it suddenly dawned on her that Larissa must have gotten Owen as her sugar daddy. That explained why he supported her.

Natasha wasn't happy. Wasn't she prettier than Larissa?

"Mr. Clark." Natasha pushed out her chest which accentuated her graceful curves.

"Larissa and I were classmates. It's all just a misunderstanding," she explained in a coquettish tone.

"You're an intern, aren't you?" Owen was disgusted by how flirtatious Natasha was. "How did someone as crass as you get hired? Call over the HR personnel now!"

When Simon received the news, he scrambled over at once. "Mr. Clark, this is a misunderstanding! My daughter is really talented. I got her here for the sake of the company!"

Owen snorted. "For the sake of the company? You're just abusing your power for your personal gain! What do you take Hamilton Group for? You're fired!

"Claim your salary from the finance department and leave! From now on, you're banned from the industry! No companies associated with Hamilton Group will hire you!"

Then, Owen turned to Larissa and said respectfully, "Ms. Solace, this way, please."

Simon slumped down on the floor. He was the pillar of the family. Not only did he lose his job now, but he was also banned by companies across Ambrollum City.

How was he going to support his family in the future?

Natasha was taken aback by what happened. "Dad—"

"Bitch!" Simon slapped Natasha fiercely. "Look at what you've done! So much for supporting you financially! Now you've gotten me in hot water! I'm going to skin you alive today!"

Simon started beating Natasha up, causing her to cry out in pain.

The security manager led his people over and chased them out. "Do whatever you must with her at home! Don't air your dirty laundry out here!"

Larissa went to the CEO's office on the 38th floor and saw Ambrose.

"Mister!" She ran over happily.

"You're here." Ambrose massaged the spot between his brows. There were piles of documents before him.

Larissa wheeled him away and said, "Take a break, Mister. I'll bask in the sun with you."

"Sure."

The sunlight was perfect, offering a panoramic view of the breathtaking scenery of Ambrollum City on the spacious balcony.

"Have you sought your revenge?" he asked.

Larissa nodded her head excitedly. "Yes! It feels so amazing!"

Looking at how happy she was, Ambrose smiled subconsciously.

A few minutes later, Owen approached them and bowed respectfully. "Mr. Hamilton, Lukas Miller from the Miller family, who supplies us with building materials, is here. He wants to see you."

"It's fine for you to meet him," Ambrose casually said.

He didn't want to neglect Larissa because of unimportant people. People like Lukas weren't qualified to see him in person.

"Mister, are you collaborating with the Millers?" Larissa suddenly asked.

"What's wrong?"

Larissa pouted her lips. "Lukas isn't a nice person. The way he looked at me was so lecherous! He even said that I smelled like garbage!"

When Ambrose heard that, his expression darkened. "Cease all collaboration with the Miller family, including the projects that are going on at the moment. Also, I want you to dump trash on him!" he ordered.

Owen was stunned for a moment before he hurriedly nodded. "Understood, Mr. Hamilton. I'll do it right away.

The assistant discreetly sized up Larissa. He needed to reevaluate her importance to Ambrose.

Lukas and Charmaine were drinking coffee in the reception room.

Patting his chest, Lukas said with confidence, "Don't worry, Charmaine. Our collaboration with Hamilton Group has always been smooth, not to mention we have a good relationship with them. I'll surely be able to help you this time!"

"You're amazing, Lukas!" Charmaine said flatteringly.

He laughed. "Let's go to the theater later—"

Right then, the door opened. Several security guards walked in.

Lukas looked over in surprise. "Where is Mr. Clark? I've made an appointment with him."

"Mr. Clark won't meet you. Our CEO has given the order to stop all collaboration with the Miller family from now on!" the guard replied coldly.

Lukas was stunned.

If Hamilton Group were to stop collaborating with the Miller family, that meant his family's business would be on the rocks!

Lukas stood up at once. "Why? I want to see Mr. Clark and ask him about it!"

"I'm here." Owen was standing by the door.

"It's an order given by our CEO. From now on, the Millers aren't allowed to step into Hamilton Group," he said coldly.
