Chapter 3 Mister, Someone Is Bullying Me

"Don't worry. I'll pay the tuition fees myself and won't ask for a single penny from you." Larissa put down her bowl and walked away after she finished eating.

"Look at her attitude! If only she has half of Charmaine's good manners!"

In the eyes of their parents, Charmaine was a treasure, while Larissa was nothing more than a weed that could be easily trampled upon.

The next day, Larissa went to the location given by Ambrose. To her surprise, it was Hamilton Group's building.

It really was Hamilton Group! She wondered if Ambrose shared a connection to the family behind the company.

Just as Larissa was about to enter, she heard a surprised voice.

"Larissa, why are you here?"

When Larissa turned around, she saw Charmaine get out of a red sports car. Standing beside her was Lukas.

Lukas' eyes lit up. "Charmaine, who is this beauty?"

Clenching her teeth, Charmaine replied, "This is my sister, Larissa."

Lukas fixed his hair and said, "Ms. Larissa, nice to meet you. I'm Lukas Miller. I'm pretty sure you've heard of the Miller family, right? All the construction materials in Ambrollum City are done by us."

He sounded full of himself.

Larissa didn't want to talk to him at all. His lecherous gaze disgusted her.

"I still have something to do. Bye."

Seeing that Larissa was about to leave, Charmaine stopped her at once. "Larissa, why did you come here? Could it be that you're here to work?"

"That's right."

"Are you working as a cleaner?"

Larissa frowned. "What does this have to do with you?"

"Larissa, you can tell me if you don't have money. Why do you have to degrade yourself by working as a cleaner?" Charmaine chuckled, covering her mouth with her hand.

"She's a cleaner?" Lukas' voice was laced with disdain. Taking a step back, he continued, "How gross! Does she have the smell of garbage lingering on her?"

Charmaine stretched out her delicate hand and threw the empty cup of juice on the ground. "Go ahead. Sweep it."

"Even if I'm here as a cleaner, it's still much better than you, who hooks up with so many men and receives luxury goods from them. I earn my money through hard work. I'm not ashamed of it!"

Larissa paused for a moment before adding, "By the way, I won't tell Lukas that the bag you're carrying now is from another man."

Then, Larissa entered the building, not wanting to talk to them anymore.

"Charmaine, is she telling the truth?" Lukas asked unhappily.

"No! My mom gave this to me as a reward for getting the top spot in my finals!" Charmaine replied.

"I'm sorry, Charmaine. I should have trusted you." Pinching her slender waist, Lukas licked his lips and said, "Once I help you seal the deal later, let's watch a movie together. There's a new theater that opened for couples recently. It's pretty good."

Charmaine smiled and pushed his hand away. "No, my mom won't allow me to go home too late."

Truthfully speaking, she knew that Lukas wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of her if they were to go to a dark place like the theater.

As soon as Larissa stepped into the building, she was stopped by the security guards.

"Go out! This isn't a place for high school students to loiter!"

With a ponytail and a backpack, Larissa indeed appeared young and vibrant. Moreover, having recently graduated from high school, her face still held a touch of youthful innocence.

"Someone asked me to come here."

"Who?"

"Mr. Ambrose Hamilton," she replied.

The two security guards exchanged a glance and then waved their hands irritably. "What are you talking about? We're busy and have no time to play house with you. Leave quickly!"

Larissa was at a loss. Just as the guards were about to drive her away, she caught sight of a familiar figure.

"Natasha!" Larissa broke free from the guards and ran over to her. "It really is you, Natasha!" she exclaimed in surprise.

Natasha White was Larissa's classmate in high school. Her father, Simon White, managed the human resources department of the company.

Seizing the period before university enrollment, Simon used his connections and let Natasha have an internship at Hamilton Group to help her enhance her resume.

Natasha sized Larissa up. "What's going on?" she asked the guards.

The security guards knew that her father was the head of the HR department with considerable power, so they dared not offend him.

"She said that Mr. Hamilton invited her over. We thought she was joking ..." the guard mumbled.

Natasha arched her brows. "Mr. Hamilton? Our CEO?"

Larissa didn't know that Ambrose was the CEO of Hamilton Group. In fact, she was clueless about his background. "I think so? I'm not quite sure."

"You think so?" Natasha increased her voice. "Larissa, what kind of wishful thinking is this?"

When Larissa heard that, the smile on her face disappeared. "What do you mean?"

"You and I both graduated from high school, but look at me—I'm already interning at Hamilton Group. With this experience, my resume is going to be outstanding in the future. What about you?

"You're still here having your imagination run wild. Do you think you'll be able to catch our CEO's attention by simply saying that you want to meet him? This is ridiculous! You're just overestimating yourself!" Natasha taunted her.

When they were still in high school, Natasha always looked down on Larissa and often mocked her, saying that the latter was merely a country bumpkin.

Natasha couldn't believe that Larissa actually had the guts to say that Ambrose had called her to come over. Even if the CEO wanted to invite a woman, it should be someone as sexy and beautiful as herself.

"I'm going to spread this in the class group chat and let everyone laugh at you!"

While typing a message on her phone, Natasha rolled her eyes at the security guards. "What are you waiting for? Drive her out quickly! Otherwise, I'll tell my dad and have you fired!"

Bent out of shape, Larissa took out her phone and gave Ambrose a buzz. "Mister, someone is bullying me!"

For a moment, there was no reply from the other end of the line. "Where are you?"

"I'm at the entrance of the location you have sent me. The people here are trying to drive me out!" Larissa's voice was starting to get choked up.

When Ambrose heard how aggrieved she sounded, he felt extremely distressed.

"Mister, are you the CEO of Hamilton Group?"

"Yes."

"Since I'm married to you, I'm the wife of Hamilton Group's CEO, right?"

Ambrose curled up the corners of his lips, feeling inexplicably pleased. "Yes."

Staring at the two bodyguards and Natasha, Larissa raised her voice. "Can I fire the ones who bullied me?"

"Sure."

Natasha shared Larissa's incident in the chat, sparking a wave of mockery and ridicule from those in the group.
