“This human knows too much about us!” Luke shouts and I hear a few people in the crowd agree. He digs the knife deeper and I gasp, grabbing Luke’s arm in an attempt to pull him away. “She threatens the Alpha bloodline as she has mated to our young Alpha. With these facts, I sentence her to death.”

The next morning Zak and I decided to go and talk with my Dad to see if we could pry any answers from him. I rested my forehead on the warm window, closing my eyes and letting the sun melt away my troubles. He wasn’t my dad. As we busted through the woods and into the clearing, I realized we had already made it back. It felt like only minutes had passed since we left. Several people were outside, trying to help with the commotion where they could, but it didn’t seem like anyone was fighting.
