Chapter Sixty Three

“Don’t fall behind. Get out of this, the both of you! I said that I wasn’t losing anybody else and I meant that” Jared said to the both of them.

“See you both on the other side” her brother said to them.

She nodded at him and she closed her eyes. She could feel herself drift away from them and suddenly, she could no longer feel their presence. She fought the urge to open her eyes and see if they were still there or if her mind was playing tricks on her. She kept her eyes closed until she could hear the breeze, the birds in the air and the waters that ran down the stream. She opened her eyes and she saw Jared standing there but she was certain that it wasn’t the same person that she had just left a while ago. He looked younger. Like when she had first met him. She was back there. She turned around and his welcoming smile was everything. She just wanted to sleep in his arms where she had the most sanity. She felt the place shake and she knew that she wasn’t out, not quite yet.
