PeterFree at last, I ran on the gravel road behind large tall trees. Away from the road. Since it was no longer safe. I could hear the sound of my breath coming out. There were no cars passing by, it was just dark and silent. For the first time in a long time, I feared the dark. I refused to look behind me. All I could think about was making it to my house and seeing my parents again. I ran continuously refusing to stop. Until suddenly, I heard a car come behind me.
