Complications

I stretched with a long moan in the most comfortable bed I ever laid in. As I twisted back and forth, smiling in pure happiness I remembered we fell asleep on the floor.

I jumped up, searching the room for Bolton, but I was all alone. Last night better not had been a dream. My fingers felt my mark and I smiled uncontrollably. I raced to the bathroom in a blur of speed, swaying some as I stopped right in front of the mirror.

“That was awesome!” I whispered to myself, looking over my body in complete awe. I felt amazing, inside and out, and I had vampire speed! My fingers brushed his mark and I knew without a doubt that last night wasn’t a dream. Bolton was my mate! Where the hell was he?

I quickly showered, knowing I reeked of him. As I pulled a purple cotton dress over my body I remembered exactly how we mated last night. He knotted inside me, meaning now I’m pregnant. My hand roamed over my belly and I watch myself in the mirror. I was marked by the man I love and carrying his child.
