As Alexandra turned back to ask Kirklin about the bracelet, she saw him looking dejected and sad.

“Could he be truly sorry?” She thought to herself but she soon shoved off the feeling as he didn’t deserve her empathy and she further determined in her heart to remain focused on their divorce.

Kirklin, I never meant to intrude into your private life and I have never taken any of your things before. But there was a day I needed some money to go to the hospital and you wouldn’t give me any so I came here to check if I could find any amount to take me to the hospital but I didn’t see any money so I left.

Kirklin continued to look at her calmly as she spoke.

“I checked that last drawer and saw 2 bottles of perfume and a bracelet. Where did you buy the bracelet?” she asked.

Kirklin didn’t understand what she meant at first as he appeared lost. He furrowed his eyebrow and said, “The bracelet?”

“Yes, can I go and bring it out,” she asked.
