Saying those words stung my heart like a bitch but I still said them.

Although I said that I didn't blame Damian, deep down I knew that I did. Who wouldn't? He didn't defend me before his mother when she drove me away and even after leaving the pack, he never came looking for me until now.

I know that his situation was not that simple but even so, I still hated him for lacking guts.

" You heard about it?" Damian asked, pulling away his hands.

I nodded and he let out a sigh. Even after leaving the pack, I still kept tabs on everything happening. At some point, Valeria accused me of stalking Damian but to me, I preferred being informed in advance than waiting for surprises.

" I am sorry. I truly am," Damian said. " If there was a way I could change my parent's minds and not have the engagement, I would have..." Damian started but I cut him off.
