Chapter 4

Ellie Davis ^^

It was Tuesday morning, the first day of Isabella at Anderson&Co. Thankfully, she got up pretty quickly and took a long and relaxing shower. After showering, she put on some clothes which included a white full sleeved blouse and a black pencil skirt with a pair of black heels. She wore the locket which their mother gave her. Thinking about Mother brought tears in Isabella's eyes but she hold them back reminding herself what her mother told her

"You are a strong girl, Isabella" 

Those were the last words that her mother said before saying goodbye to this world. The death of her mother was all an accident which Isabella blamed to herself because of that man who used to tell her that it was all her fault but actually it wasn't. She was only twelve year old that time when she lost her mother and Megan was only five year old and Isabella had to take care of her own self and Megan too.

Isabella shook away all the thoughts and wiped off the tears from her face while pecking the little locket. She did her makeup and pulled up her hair in a bun. She wore her heels, took her bag and went downstairs where Jessica and Megan were sitting.

"Hey, Jess. What are you doing here?" Isabella asked, clearly confused of her Aunt's presence this early. 

"Good Morning to you too, Bella. And I thought it would be great if I bring some pancakes and coffee as it is your first day to new work and I wanted to wish you good luck too" Jessica said

"Thank you" Isabella cooed while hugging her Aunt

"Now let's eat breakfast" Jessica said

The breakfast was pretty delicious as it was home made. She thanked Jessica while getting ready to leave. Jessica offered Isabella to drop her in her car so she wouldn't be late on the first day. They got out of the apartment and climbed in Jessica's car quickly. It was a black Mercedes. Jessica once also offered Isabella a car but she refused as she had already helped her very much in the past when there was no one, so she refused. Jessica first dropped Megan at her school.

"Good luck, Izzy. Have a good day" Megan said to Isabella while climbing out of the car. 

"Thank you. Have a good day too and don't get in so much trouble" Isabella said. She knew that Megan was against the Bullies and couldn't even stand them. Once Megan witnessed a boy making fun of a girl saying that she was a nerd. The girl was a little too much occupied by her books every time but that doesn't mean that anyone could just come and make fun of her. Megan couldn't take it anymore as she went to the boy and kicked him in his balls. The boy ended up in hospital and as for Megan, she was suspended for three days. Megan had this bad girl facade in her school but she didn't had anything against anyone, she didn't hurt anyone if it was unnecessary. 

They soon arrived outside Anderson&Co. Isabella climbed out of the car getting a good luck from Jessica. She first went towards the coffee shop which was near the building.

" A coffee, two sugar" Isabella said to the barista who was a boy and looked like he was a teenager. She asked Ellie about the coffee that Mr. Anderson liked on the day of her interview

"That would be $2" He said 

Isabella took out the money and paid. She grabbed the coffee and walked out of the coffee shop.

She entered the building quickly while giving herself a quick prep talk about how not to be nervous and not mess up anything. 

"Isabella, Hey" Ellie greeted

"Hi" Isabella greeted back smiling 

"Well, good luck for your first day" Ellie said 

"Thank you, I really needed that" Isabella said

"Oh, its no biggie. Well see you at lunch" Ellie said

"Okay" Isabella said while walking towards the elevator and entered it. There were about 7 to 8 people in the elevator but she didn't bothered about talking or saying a Hey to anyone. The elevator arrived on 16th floor and Isabella walked out. She walked towards Mr. Anderson's office and knocked the door lightly.

"Come in" his voice came and she entered the office.

"Good Morning, sir" she greeted

"Morning" He said while glancing towards her 

Isabella walked towards his desk and placed the coffee on his table. He grabbed his coffee and stood up. He then walked towards Isabella and said "Follow me" He said and walked out of the office with Isabella following after him. They went towards the corner of the floor where a desk was placed with a plain black chair and a computer.

"This is where you'll work" Mr. Anderson said 

"Okay" Isabella replied while walking around the desk so she could see him as the desk was placed between them. 

"Open the drawer" He said and Isabella opened it only to find an iPhone 6. She took out the box. 

"This is your phone, It have my number along with all the important numbers of all the dealers and businessmen who are associated with me." He said 

"Okay, sir" Isabella said and Mr. Anderson walked away

She couldn't be anymore happy that she got a new phone. She always wanted an iPhone but she didn't got enough money. 

There were some files on the desk which she needed to check if there was any mistake as his previous assistant left them. She started working on them.

After about two hours she was done with all the files. She went towards Seth Anderson's office and knocked the door which he replied with the usual 'come in' 

"These files are done" Isabella said once she entered the office 

"Drop them here" he pointed towards his desk and Isabella obeyed

"You can go and enjoy your lunch now, Miss Smith" He said and Isabella nodded while walking out.

She was a little disappointed that he didn't even said a 'thank you' she freaking spent two hours over it. She shook her head and entered the elevator while pressing number 7 which she found out was the lunch floor. 

She walked out of the elevator and saw that the whole floor was filled with tables and chairs and right in front of her was a canteen. She walked towards it and ordered a burger. She grabbed the plate and as she turned, she heard a voice

"Isabella!" Ellie said while waving her hand in the air 

Isabella walked towards the table where she was sitting and there were three chairs placed. 

"Hey" Isabella said while sitting on the chair 

"Hi, how is your day going so far?" Ellie asked 

"Pretty good" Isabella said 

"Well yeah, It would be going pretty good as you got sexy ass of a boss" Ellie said while chuckling at her own silly words and Isabella just smiled in return

"Who got sexy ass of a boss?" Someone said from Isabella's behind making Ellie groan in process. Isabella turned around and saw the man who was at the coffee shop with her now boss, Seth Anderson. The man quickly recognized Isabella and smiled 

"Hey, beautiful" He said

"Hey?" Isabella said more like asked 

"Well your are the girl from the coffee shop, right?" He asked and Isabella nodded in return

"What are you doing here?" He asked 

"Well, I work as a Personal Assistant for Mr. Anderson" She replied 

"Mr. Anderson as in Seth Anderson?" He asked and she nodded 

"Well, I am his small brother, Carson" The man said and Isabella then came to understand that why did they both looked alike 

"I went to that coffee shop the other day to find you to get your number but I couldn't find you" Carson said making Isabella chuckle and Ellie to roll her eyes

"Oh, Hey Ellie" Carson smirked while Ellie looked down for a moment and replied "Hey, Carson" while smiling which Isabella noticed was a fake one. There is something fishy, Isabella thought and cleared her thought making them both snap back to reality.

"I gotta go now, to say a hello to my dear brother" Carson said while walking away. 

Isabella looked towards Ellie who was busy staring the man who just went. She cleared her throat making Ellie look towards her. Isabella raised an eyebrow. 

"Isabella, Can I call you 'Bella'"? She asked quickly avoiding the topic

"Sure" Isabella said while eating her burger.

The rest of the day went pretty quick with Isabella obeying Mr. Anderson's orders and working like crazy. At 7:00 pm Mr. Anderson said to her that she could go home which made Isabella jump with joy.

In her head, of course

She quickly grabbed her coat and purse and left the building. She walked towards the bus stop where the bus was already standing. She quickly went in it and sat on the seat. After about 15 minutes, the bus stopped near her house and she got out of the bus. She walked towards the door of her apartment while pulling her coat close to her as it was a chilly night. She opened the door and the whole apartment was dark. She quickly opened the lights and saw that Megan was no where to be seen. She quickly went in the kitchen and saw a note stuck on the fridge.

I am staying the night at Aria's house. We are having a sleepover.

Isabella sighed while throwing the note in the dustbin. Aria was Megan's best friend.

She quickly changed into something comfy and went in the living room to watch a movie. She settled on The Notebook while drinking the juice which Megan made for her before going to her best friend's house.
