A year has passed since the unfortunate fatal car accident. Caden would constantly visit her in the hospital ward and check her condition, his heart filled with guilt.
Sophia's parents were equally devastated of what happened, they insisted on a thorough investigation if there was any foul play, but the investigators or the police couldn't detect any foul play...."Caden you should go home. You haven't had a proper rest for a long time." Sophia's mom, Cassandra said with concern laced in her voice. She just walked in and saw Caden silently staring at Sophia's pale resting body. His lips were pursed into a thin line as he spun his head to look at his mother in law."I'm fine mother. I'll stay with her, she still needs me ." He said, and Cassandra wanted to persuade him to go home and rest but he already sat back down on the chair and watched her daughter intently, his head hung low, and his shoulders slumped."I see, but don't drain yourself you still need to rest." She said and left the room. She was contented that Caden was devoted in taking care of Sophia. She thought that he wouldn't even try, but obviously she was mistaken....The room was now in a stilled silence, the only sound that was making noise was the air conditioner and the heart monitor that continues to make a beeping sound.Caden's eyes were drifting, his eyes opening and closing. He was about to stand up to get a coffee since he didn't feel like sleeping yet, but out of the blue, he heard an almost inaudible groan beside him.He looked down at Sophia and saw that her fingers were moving and her eyes were fluttering."Sophia? Sophia are you awake?" He asked, quickly going to Sophi's side and brushing her hair carefully. He pressed the emergency button, and went to the door, opened it and shouted loudly, "Get the doctor here! My wife's awake." He said, and hurriedly went back to her side."Soph? Can you see me?" He asked, and Sophia who was still befuddled couldn't see clearly the person who was talking in front of her. Her eyes were still adjusting to the light of the room. And when she finally settled, and her vision became more stable, she saw a handsome man who's eyes were glowing with worry, gazing at her, and there was a visible black circles underneath his eyes, a clear sign that he haven't had a good sleep in a while now."Sophi?" Caden smiled tenderly as he called her, patting her face lightly. He expected that she would be happy to see him, but her reaction says otherwise."Soph..." He was about to call her name again to get her attention when all of a sudden, she gave him a strong slap, right across the face.[PAA!!!] Caden was taken aback by this and it took him a while to collect himself, he turned his head to Sophia again, and she was now sitting up, grabbing the blankets and covering her body with it, glaring at him."Who the hell are you?!" She asked, her eyes looking at him cautiously."What?" Caden mindlessly asked, not understanding why she would ask him that."I said who the fuck are you? Why are you here with me?!" She repeated rather harshly this time."I'm Caden, y-your husband." Caden said, shocked that she was cursing at him, it was probably the first time she ever heard her yell at him like that. He tried leaning to her but Sophia scooted away from him, afraid of his presence. She didn't know why she was in the hospital to begin with, she doesn't have any memory of any reason why she was brought here. She bit her nails and warily looked at the man who was looking at her in an oddly way, stressed, she got off the bed quickly getting rid of all the medical stuff that was attached to her body, prompting Caden to jump at her to stop her."Sophi stop that. You're hurting yourself." He hugged her and tried to get hold of her hand.Sophia was resolute to get away from him, so she mercilessly kicked his crotch area which made Caden let go of her, kneeling on the ground groaning, with pain riddled all over his face."Fuck!" He cursed, rubbing his crotch area.Sophia dashed to the door to get out, but the doctor came in at the right time with the nurses and stopped her."Oh thank god! Help me! There's a pervert who's trying to hurt me." She yelled loudly, and all the doctors and nurses who heard what she said were all disturbed, and were tongue tied at the situation."What are you all doing standing there?! Call the guards hurry!" She shouted hysterically."Ma'am, calm down and let's take a seat." The doctor ushered her back in, but she was still making a ruckus wanting to escape from Caden's probing gaze, as he gradually stood up, eyeing her."She doesn't seem to remember me. Why the fuck is that?!" Caden asked, furious as he glared at the doctor, "You said she was fine? If she's fine then why the fuck is she acting like that?!" He pointed at them, and if his looks could kill, all of them would have been five feet under."I-I'm not also certain why that is Mr. Caldwell." The doctor responded, stuttering, scared for his life."Then find out why?! And don't give me anymore excuses or else your good as gone." Caden said, and the doctors hurriedly scurried forcing Sophia to go back to the bed."No! What are you doing let me go!" She fought them off but she was no match for all of them. She was pinned to the bed and she hatefully looked at Caden who was gazing at her worriedly."Soph it's gonna be okay. They won't hurt you." Cadent tried to pacify her."Shut up you rotten bastard." She said before she was injected with sedative, which immediately knocked her out unconscious."Call my family and the Williams, go!" Caden ordered, with his hand on his waist, massaging his temples from distress, looking at Sophia worriedly, letting out a sigh.'Does she really not remember me anymore? Perhaps did she also forget what happened?'"Where is she? Is it true that she's awake?" Cassandra, walked into the long hall briskly with Jacob, Sophia's father, their faces a mixture of frantic and excitement. After a long time of waiting they would finally get to see their daughter awake again.Caden slowly closed the door behind him since they were making an awful lot of sound and he didn't want to accidentally wake Sophia up. His face was somewhat pale, the veins in his forehead popping, which didn't escape the eyes of his in-laws that was standing just in front of him."Caden, what's happening. Is it true? Did she really wake up?" Jacob asked, his voice laced with worry seeing Caden's reaction to their question. He kept a hawk like gaze at Caden, adamant to know his daughter's situation."She woke up." Caden said briefly."Oh thank god. Let us see her then..." Cassandra tried to get inside but Caden didn't budge and stood in front of the door, not minding the scrutinizing gaze the two were giving him."Step aside Caden. W
"When am I allowed to leave?" Sophia asked grumpily, looking at Caden who was staring outside the huge window with a blank expression. He shifted his gaze and looked at Sophia, exploring every change he sees on her."You seem energetic. Don't worry it won't be long before you can go back to our house." He said, his eyes deep and piercing. "House?" Sophia muttered tilting her head sideways."What?" "It's just you called it house... shouldn't it be home if were married?" She said, putting her hand in her chin, contemplating. Caden was slightly taken aback by what she said, 'She's right, what we have isn't a home, it's just a plain house that we are obligated to stay in because of our marriage.' He stared back at the scenery outside, releasing his breath, making a haze on the window from his cold breath."Caden...""Mmm?" Caden hummed in response. Sophia looked at him from her bed, she could tell that they didn't share a bond or anything deep because whenever he's around her, his face
"Where are we going? This isn't the way to our house." Sophia asked, looking at Caden who was driving to an unknown route to her."We're married already Soph. We have our own home." Caden said, turning to Sophia who was busy looking at the outside scenery through the window.Their house was located on one of the furthest hills not far away from the city. In fact, the city could be seen bustling at night since their mansion has quite a good view of it from up there.Sophia spun her head to Caden hearing his reply, "Oh? Does that mean we also sleep together?" She asked.Caden went silent for a second before forcing a smile and nodding his head, "Yeah, we often sleep together when I'm not busy." He said, concealing the whole truth from her.Sophia could tell from the way his tone was changing that he was hiding something from her. She kept gazing at his face for a while before releasing a heavy breath, moving her gaze away, looking back outside.'This man is quite shady. What do I actual
Sophia is currently standing in front of the window frame. The cold breeze of the early morning air brushed through her face as it entered her room. She closed her eyes and breathed slowly, relishing the feeling.A week has passed since she was discharged, but ever since then, not once did Caden sleep with her in their own room. He always insisted to her that they sleep separately for her sake, since she might still not be comfortable with them being together. She wanted to insist, but she also understood his side and didn't want to press anymore and decided to just let go of the topic."It's so quiet in here." She whispered in the air, as she turned around, her white night dress that didn't reach her knees, moved along with her body in a beautiful rhythm. She was barefoot on the cold floor. She strutted her way outside to look for Caden. She passed the long hallway, and eventually knocked in front of Caden's room to see how he was doing. "Caden? Are you awake?" She asked softly, an
"Isn't what you're wearing quite revealing?" Caden said, looking at Sophia's exposed white legs while still trying to focus on driving on the busy road. She's wearing a peach V-neck line front tie wrap dress, paired with white heels. She looked so elegant and beautiful on what she's wearing, and his commentary made her mood change into a bad one, she instantly scowled at him and huffed."What's wrong with it? This is my usual get up, I can even do worse than this, sigh...I miss going to parties with my friends." She said, closing her eyes momentarily remembering all the wild nights she had with her friends before. "Speaking of which, I need an updated phone. Can you go with me to the mall?" She asked, and Caden gave her a side eye, sighing. "We don't have time to drop at the mall. I'll let my secretary handle that when we get to the company." He answered casually, pressing on the gas pedal to speed up....They soon arrived at the entrance and a man with an awkward looking glass gree
"I can't believe that guy! You should really get a divorce. I never like Caden for you anyway, he's a total douchebag!" Marcus said as they all circled in Sophia's bed, and hearing what happened in the office made all of their blood boil for their friend. She has been staying at her parent's house for two nights in a row and she wasn't sure if she wants to go back anymore."He's right. We've been telling you this before, but you wouldn't listen to reason Soph, if you regain your memories you would understand why were like this." Kate said, shuffling closer to Sophia, holding her hand."As much as I want to do that. But like you said, I must have a reason for staying with him before. Besides, that woman might not really be his girlfriend, it was also my fault since I didn't let him explain himself." Sophia replied, her smile dry and forced."So what? Are you gonna stay with him and let him trample your feelings over and over again?" Kate said, her voice raising. "You know me Kate, I do
"Miss Sophia, lunch is ready." A maid announced, knocking on Sophia's door. "Ok, I'll be right there." She yelled, pulling her head out of the torn pillows in her bed.She quickly got up and tidied herself first, looking at the mirror, not even bothering in fetching new clothes in her closet. She was wearing a cycling short and an oversized white shirt that was comfortable for her liking."Is mom and dad joining me?" She asked as she got outside."No Miss, they left early to deal with something urgent." The maid replied, and Sophia nodded her head in understanding. The maid looked at her from head to foot wondering why she looked like a total mess but didn't have the courage to say it out loud."Do you want me to assist you Miss?""No I can handle myself from here. Go do your duties." Sophia said, walking without much energy in her. Her face pale and weak because of the things that were going in her mind. She walked in the long hallway and eventually came face to face with the white
[BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!] In the midst of the busy street, Sophia was stuck in the middle of the street on her way to Caden's company, her car stopping on the road not knowing what the problem was. "What's happening?" She asked, her face wrinkling. She hastily got out of her car and went to check, but since she has no clue what to do, she didn't know how to fix it."Hey! Will you move your fucking car already!" An older man shouted."I'm sorry, my car suddenly just stopped." She apologized, and the man puffed his chest, passing through to the side. "Well try getting it out of the road then." The man yelled in her face as he passed. "People these days are so troublesome." He clicked his tongue, driving off. Sophia tried to call someone for help but she couldn't reach anyone. She remained standing in the road, her white dress getting dirty from all the fumes of the huge trucks, beads of sweat were accumulating in her forehead, her skin not used to the harsh temperature, coupled with the sun
