Ava retched as she threw up all the contents of her stomach into the toilet bowl. This has become a normal phenomenon for the past few days.

While it was tiring and gut-wrenching, she knew it was part of this journey to becoming a mother.

Resting on her knees, she tied her hair back and sat for a few minutes to make sure she had everything out.

The past few weeks had been a hectic one for her, with the morning sickness coming in full force and not responding to the medications she was given, having to deal with the slight discomforts that came with it.

She had a little bump now, barely noticeable, but she could see it. She had developed the habit of absentmindedly rubbing it, and sometimes she even caught herself talking to it.

Just three months far along, and Ava could feel a strong connection with her child, she hoped it would turn out to be a boy. She had always wanted to know what it would feel like to raise a strong and fearless boy child.
