Chapter 10: How a dignified lady fights back
Kai's POV
I wasn’t surprised when I heard Emma’s voice. She’s trying to put in the last code that I used. “Did she always do this?” Raine whispers in my ears. I sighed and nodded. I was supposed to open the door when my wife stopped me.
“You two, go and hide. I will deal with her myself. Go.”
Raine pushes me and George. My manager drags me into a corner where we can hide and witness their fight. Raine opens the door and suddenly jumps to the other side.
My eyes widened when we saw that the carpet on the doorway had melted. Emma just threw an acid, as if she knew that Raine would be the one who opened the door! I was about to come out when George stopped me. I can’t believe she would do that!
“That was close. You almost ruined my beauty!” Raine says.
