Chapter One
Tears streamed down my face as I walked down the block toward my house. I took my time getting there, my feet feeling heavier with each step. A week and things only seem to get worse. There’s no end in sight.I stopped a few houses away wiping my face free of tears and trying to get a hold of my emotions. I took a few deep breaths before finally making it to my front door. I saw my mother’s car parked on the street so I knew she was home from work.“Hey sweetie how was school?” My mother asked as I walked through the front door. I didn’t bother to stop or look at her, I already knew my face was still puffy from crying.“It was fine. I may sign up for a few clubs.” I said in a rush as I made it to the steps. “Sorry I really have to pee,” I yelled as I ran up the steps and into my room.I threw myself on the bed burying my face in my pillow and letting out the loudest scream I could. It helped to cure the feeling of needing to cry but the hurt ran deep. After I lay there for a moment co

Chapter Two
I walked through the halls and felt like all eyes were on me. I kept my head down and held my books tight to my chest hoping they’d be my shield from the outside.“I heard she overdosed last year on purpose.” I heard someone whisper.“The stupid bitch probably didn’t know who the father was and decided to get rid of the shit.” Their friend responded.I tried ignoring the voices hoping they were just all in my head, but I knew better. It was the same thing every day. Rumors would fly quicker than the speed of light and by the end of the day, I’d go home with a face full of tears. I had no friends, and the ones I thought were my friends turned their back on me.A rough shoulder slammed into me causing all my books to scatter across the hall floor. Laughter filled the halls and I didn’t even bother to see the culprit. I bent down and attempted to pick up my books that people rudely kicked out of my reach.Once I was finally able to gather all my books I hurried to my locker. I shoved eve

Chapter Three
I ran into the house slamming the door shut. Tears ran down my face blurring my vision as I stomped up the steps and into my room. When I thought things couldn't get any worse than chemistry, lunch rolled around and I got a tray of spaghetti dumped on me, milk spilled on my pants, tripped in the halls, and my bag was thrown in the trash. You thought this stuff only happened in tv shows and movies, yet here I am a living walking proof that it can actually happen to you in real life. I just couldn't deal with this. I just knew it was only going to get worse as the school year dragged on. I couldn't run even if I wanted to, because then I'd have to come face to face with everything and I'm perfectly fine right now pretending nothing is going on.I stood in my shower balling my eyes out for the 50th time in the last month. I wasn't even sure what I was even crying for anymore. I took a deep breath to calm my nerves and just washed away the stress of the day. I had to remain calm and stop

Chapter Four
(FLASHBACK)I stared down at the test in my hands. Two pink lines. I felt a few tears building up in my eyes. How could this be? I took my pills every day and I made sure we were always protected. Then I thought back to the party, but it couldn't be, right?"Laney I'm leaving do you need anything?" My mother yelled from the bottom of the steps."No ma'am. I'm okay!" I yelled back. I threw the test in the box and grabbed the other two I had taken for good measures. I threw them in the grocery bag and tied them up. I let out a heavy sigh and looked at myself in the mirror. This wasn't happening, it couldn't be real.I snatched up my phone from the counter and searched the calendar for the exact date of the party."One, two, three." I counted back the weeks. I was nearing 4 weeks tomorrow. This was bad, very bad. What the hell am I going to do?I closed out the calendar and searched for abortion clinics. I used google incognito so it wouldn't show up in my search history. It wasn't my id
