Friday, August 26th 3:30 am

I had been sneaking to the kitchen early in the morning to grab enough food for the day. I didn’t want to see anyone, and I didn’t want to be social. I just wanted to be alone until he tells me I can leave. Creeping down the stairs, I made my way to the kitchen. Upon my arrival, I turned on the light and jumped. Sitting at one of the stools at the island was Aziel. His eyes were unfocused, and it appeared he hadn’t noticed that I had turned on the light. Ignoring him, I went about my business.

“Are you going to keep avoiding me?” His words were slurred. Clearly someone decided to get into some alcohol tonight. Looking over, he was looking at me with a pleading look.

“What is there to say, Aziel? You got someone else pregnant. You should be letting me go, I shouldn’t be here anyway.” I kind of plead with him in the hope that he would change his mind and just let me go. I could leave but I needed the ring, and he would be able to find me with the mark on my neck.

“It’s not mine.”
