Aziel had been avoiding me for a week. The night after our date, I heard him stop at the door to the room I chose to sleep in but, soon after he walked away. Kade and I had been spending a ton of time together. It appeared that my guards had become more lax with the news of Liv’s pregnancy spreading around the pack. Kade shielded me from it but the guards we passed, or the pack members who came to the pack house, were all about it. The pack members talked about how quiet their Alpha was being, wondering when they would have the interloper out of their midst. I agreed with them. What was the reason for me staying here if I had been replaced? And while it shouldn’t hurt, it made my heart ache to hear anyone speaking of it.
