CHAPTER SEVENTEEN: INFILTRATION

The night was dead silent.

Sixth Broadway was once a lively and merry area, but everything changed after the war. Everything was now ruined.

Nevertheless, there were still a few taller structures that had survived the war and stood proudly among the wreckage.

One of them was the mall.

It had clearly seen better days as the city's largest mall. It no longer even had a proper roof on it. As if a meteor had broken through the structure, a large hole could be seen on its top.

Still, during the war, it was a good place for people to hide.

The only issue was that a group of armed criminals were living there.

In the shadows, there were currently two security guards keeping an eye on the mall's vicinity by leaning against the walls.

Their jobs made them both look bad. They were neither paying attention.

This was not uncommon conduct.
