CHAPTER TWENTY ONE: REWARD

Mike did not immediately run over to start the generator when the explosion was over. Instead, he patiently awaited to determine whether the criminals were still alive.

Within a short distance, the grenade had sparked a powerful explosion. Despite the fact that they could not have survived, Mike wanted to be safe. He could not afford to remain vigilant at this time.

He walked over to the diesel generator and turned it back on after waiting until there were no more sounds coming from the room.

It sounded like a worn-out generator. Except for the room where the criminals were located, the corridor and all of the rooms had regained power.

The grenade had destroyed all of its lights and walls.

Even though Mike was already aware of the smell of blood, the scene inside the room still caused his stomach to turn.

To avoid vomiting, he had to hold himself back.

Before he took the money, he made it a point to force himself to confirm that each of the criminals was dead.
