CHAPTER SIX: AMBUSH

Shot had been fired at the man who had just backed off. His head bursting open like a watermelon that had been hit by a car, splashing everywhere.

Two people emerged simultaneously from the gloom with a menacing grin on their faces.

After looking back at the two shooters, Mike turned to look at the headless body on the ground. He quickly retreated to the wall behind him, escaping their fire by shaking through his entire body.

"Bless it!"

Behind the same wall, the lady hid. She started cursing incessantly when they resumed firing.

"Son of a slob! What brought the Vulture's men to this location?

Underneath her ash-covered face, Mike could clearly sense her fear and hatred.

“Vulture?”

Under his breath, Mike murmured the phrase. He was well aware that she was referring to a title rather than the bird.

Anyone with such a title did not appear to be nice.

Vultures were well-known in the animal kingdom for preying on dead bodies and eating their flesh.

If someone had such a title... Mike thou
