Prologue

Vivianna yelled as she woke up from her nightmare again. Four men got up from their chairs and held her down by her arms.

Valentino barged in the room. "What happened?"

"I think she had a nightmare, Capo." One of his men informed him.

Vivianna blinked her eyes a few times before adjusting to the light in the room. "Leave me. What the fudge? Who are you people? Why are they holding me down and what are you doing in my room?"

They all left her and backed away in a record time.

"Violà? Are you alright? What happened?" Valentino asked sitting on her bed and stroking her hand.

"Who are these people? Leave! Who are you?"

"Leave!" As soon as they did Valentino started stroking her tear stained cheek, from his other hand. "What happened?"

She sighed, "I saw her again. She was asking for help for me to save her. Valentino, why couldn't I just do that?" She leaned her head back towards the headrest, her dirty blonde hair falling in front of her face.

Valentino sighed. "I am so sorry."

Vivianna's face scrunched in confusion as she moved her curls. "What? Why?"

"I can't see you like this anymore. I am so sorry but I don't see any other way."

"Wait what? It isn't what I think it is, right? You are not actually thinking about that stupid doctor's suggestion? What's wrong with you?"

"Emilio!" A man came inside the room again. "Call Dr. Brown and tell him to come in ten minutes. He dies if he is even a second late."

"Yes, Capo."

"No. No, what the hell is wrong with you? You can't do this to me. I am my own person." Vivianna got up from the bed, shaking her head. "You can't. You won't."

Emilio left the room, confused but not questioning the couple.

"I have to. There is no other way Violà."

"There is. I would leave you don't see my face again. Then I-"

"Kill yourself?"

"No. I promised you I won't do that again."

"Then how come I don't believe you?"

"That's your problem not mine." She moved towards the door.

"Don't make this harder than it has to be Violà. Please. Lay down on the bed."

"How about a no and a fudge you?" She placed her hand on the door's handle but before she could open it Valentino, carefully grabbed her from her waist and placed her down on the bed and called the guys to hold her down.

"You can't do this." She started struggling against all of them.

Emilio came inside and told him that the doctor is here.

"I will be back." He gave all his men a warning look. "Don't get too close. Don't hurt her. Don't grab her too tightly. Or I will kill you myself and believe me that is something that you don't want to happen."

All his men gave curt nods and he left the room to talk to Dr. Brown.

"Leave me. He isn't here you guys can tell him I kicked you, distracted you and left or something. Just leave please."

All of them ignored her. All except Emilio.

He have known her for quite some time and couldn't help but be a little worried about her –especially after she tried to commit suicide, he has been very worried.

"What is all this about Vivianna? Why is Dr. Brown here? Is Valentino doing something he shouldn't be?" At the last question his jaw clenched. If this was true, he was so disappointed in his Capo.

"Yes. Dr. Brown talked rubbish, that one day, and he is going on with it. I don't know apparently, there is this drug which can give you selective amnesia or something of that sort."

"First. Relax. Second. Aren't they not suppose to do it if the patient, which is you, doesn't agree to it? I mean, legally?"

"Ever since Valentino joined mafia there is nothing legal about him."

Emilio glared at her for cutting him off, "Third. You are pregnant so that reduces your chances of taking any drug. Last. Even if you did end up taking it. Isn't that good for you? I mean you would be able to fall asleep without these nightmares."

Though what Emilio and Valentino were saying made sense. But Vivianna didn't want to forget. She wanted to suffer.

She wanted to kill herself. She wanted to hurt herself. She wanted to do everything but forget.

Before she could voice her thoughts Valentino came inside with Dr. Brown. She ended up yelling and struggling again.

Emilio just left the room.

"No, Valentino. For goodness sake, stop it."

"This won't affect the baby or her, right?"

"Yes, of course not Mr. Morte."

"Valentino Ivan Morte, if you do this I will leave you."

"You were already planning on doing that before everything so I am fine with that." He mumbled under his breath.

"But we would need her permission to continue this proces-"

"I couldn't hear you! What were you saying, again?" Valentino asked taking out his gun and twirling it in his hand.

"But Mr. Valentino I am just saying legally-"

"And I am just saying, I really want to kill someone. Seeing your ex soon-to be-wife losing her mind isn't all rainbows and sunshines. You should stop talking if you don't want that to be that someone." Valentino turned to his Viola ignoring the wide eyed, gaping doctor. "Violà-"

"Don't talk to me." She looked up and, in his eyes, to say her next words – breaking his heart by saying them. "If you do this, Valentino, I hate you. I don't ever want to see your face again. I may not remember this, but you would and I wouldn't like you to make sure that we never meet again. If you ever, and I mean ever, loved me, then don't meet me again."

He sat down, on the bed, beside her. "I give you my word that we will never meet again."

"And this baby is mine."

He closed his eyes, his jaw clenched hard. He couldn't believe how much life has changed they were just starting wedding preparations, searching for baby names and now this? He is about to promise that he won't ever see or meet his kid again. The kid he wanted to name after his grandmother or Viola's father. He was leaving that kid.

For Vivianna! He repeated in his head before nodding, the words being too painful for him to say it out loud. If he said it the situation would become too real.

He leaned down and kissed her forehead, his hand subconsciously going to her stomach. "I love you Vivianna Violet. Nothing in this world would change that. I will continue loving you forever and always."

Two or three tears left her eyes. "Don't do this."

He sighed, stroking her face, he whispered in a barely audible voice. "There is no other way."

"No! Don't! Please, Valentino."

"Do it!" He turned to the doctor who quickly moved towards her and pressed an injection to her arm all while she was yelling.

When her yelling stopped and darkness welcomed her, a single tear left Valentino's eye.

He grabbed the vase and threw it. Or was it the lamp he threw? He wasn't sure and didn't care.

What no one knew though was that there was a third person worried sick about Vivianna. Mason Logan hadn't seen her for more than two days and was going crazy with worry, especially considering what happened not too long ago and how it affected Vivianna.
