Chapter 4

(Kelly pov)

I sat down in a well-furnished living room, everything gave me a sophisticated wealthy look. The cup of coffee in my hand was already getting cold.

"Are you okay" My eyes looked up at him, and I nodded, fighting the tears gathering in my eyes

"Thank you for coming to pick me up" I finally managed to say, after agreeing with his unbelievable plan, I needed a place to sleep, going back to that house, facing Kaylee after what I just witnessed was not something I could handle.

"Take your time," he said his voice calm. "I will ask the maid to show you to your room, then tomorrow we will get down to business" his voice is sharp and cold now.

"Sure, whatever" I whispered, I could tell his eyes were still fixed on me as he walked off heading toward the exit.

(Daniel pov)

This was not the time to feel sympathy, I needed this contract marriage, and she was my perfect remedy for my sickness, I didn't care if she was sad or on the verge of losing it as long as she didn't ruin my plan.

I walked out after an hour hoping she might have gone to bed, she stood on the porch, crying. For Christ's sake what the hell happened?

" mind sharing, it seems like you are not planning on giving up on tonight's tears" I sat on a nearby weaving chair, my gaze fixed on her

"Am fine" she murmured

"Then I guess you won't mind finishing up crying if you are truly fine" My tone was harsh, she was getting on my nerves and I didn't know why seeing her crying annoyed me

She stared at me her expression confused,

"Why does it matter to you" She wiped her eyes with her hand.

"Let me guess, boyfriend cheated on you," I asked her, she faced away facing the garden. "Is this your first time being cheated on" Curiosity grew on my face

"Not like you are partly innocent in all this" I whispered

"Excuse me" her eyes filled with rage

"Yes cupcake, you also cheated, with me, remember, he doesn't know does he, so stop the silly tears" I remind her

She walked toward where I sat and placed a slap across my face, I stared at her, holding her hand and pulling her to my lap.

"Did I say anything wrong cupcake" A cold smile appeared on my face

(Kelly pov)

I was hurting, I didn't need him reminding me of my sin, I tried to get off his lap, but his hand held firm to my waist, his warm breath planted on my neck as he whispered something I could barely hear.

"Just a minute" he held me tight, his Cologne filled my nose

I shouldn't be here, feeling comfortable in another man's arms, but what choice do I have, I just agreed to a stupid contract marriage with him, and I was exhausted, crying drained me a lot, and I tried to shake him off.

"Okay, that's enough" I pulled away

"Sorry, got carried away" he apologizes

"Where is my room, am tired," I asked him, trying to break the tension.

"Upstairs to your right, the second door" I thanked him and walked away, not glancing back, I knew his eyes were still on me.

My head hurt, I sat upright, staring at the flower painting on the wall, the sun casting a warm glow on it, another day to face reality, I stood up and headed downstairs. The smells of bacon, pancakes, and eggs filled the air

" Morning ma" two maids greeted as they walked by

I stared at them, my eyes focused on Daniel who was dressed for the day, sitting perfectly in the dining area, with a cup of coffee in front of him.

"I thought you weren't going to get up" he mocked his eyes fixed on his tabloid

I took a sit opposite him, he looked clean and handsome, I couldn't help but stare, his blue eyes shone like the ocean

"Terrible headache" I replied

"You cried enough last night, probably a river" he smirked, his never leaving his tabloid

"Yeah, thanks for reminding me" A maid walks up to me asking if I would love to eat now. I stared at the variety of foods placed on the table

"I can dish it myself, thank you" I gave her a warm smile, her eyes back and forth between Daniel and me, I knew she was scared but I was fine.

"Am fine, I can dish my food, my hands are not broken thank you" I gave her a serious face as she smiled and walked away.

"What's wrong with your employees" I asked

"What do you mean" he asked

"They seem scared of you" his eyes now held mine

"Do I bite" his brows furrowed

"I don't know, maybe"

(Kaylee POV)

I knew she was acting weird, sleeping outside, and she changed a lot, I do feel bad for her, she picked the wrong time to visit Xander. I was having my moment

"What do you mean, she slept out" my dad's anger sow the rooftop

"That daughter of yours is something else" my mom added as I focused my gaze on my phone

"I left her in your care, maybe I should stop her from attending those pointless acting classes and movie roles, she has become wild"

"You are right dad, she is overdoing everything, yet they will complain about us treating her wrong" I added fueled

I stared at the driveway, a black SUV just parked outside, the back door opened as Kelly and a tall handsome guy walked out, his face looked familiar

"I think we have a visitor" The doorbell rang as my mom unlocked it, we stared as Kelly and this stranger walked in, heaven he was freakishly handsome.

"Where the hell were you" my dad yelled at her. "And who are you" his eyes now fixed on him

"Sorry for not introducing myself properly, my name is Daniel Vuitton" he brought out his hand to shake

His name sounded familiar, I tried recalling where I had seen him or heard his name and it suddenly hit me

"You are billionaire Daniel Vuitton, number 10 top. billboard" My hands covered my mouth, what was he doing here and how come he knew Kelly, what was going on?

My dad and mom stuttered upon hearing he was a billionaire, their voice changed instantly, offering him a seat and something to drink.

"Why are you in our house and how come you know Kelly," I asked sharply, curiosity filled me, and Kelly's eyes filled with anger and hatred but who came?

"Am here to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage Sir"

house fell silent, I must have heard wrong, he wanted to get married to who? My eyes went to Kelly, whose face curled up in a cruel smile as our eyes met.
