Kat felt faint and sleepy all of a sudden, collapsing to her knees before slumping to the ground, closing her eyes on the sight of Ruben and Michael within the golden column of light. She called out his name softly before falling into a deep sleep as she was enveloped within the same golden light, appearing to grow transparent before she vanished from the Demon King’s throne room completely just as the golden column of light, Ruben and Michael also vanished. . When she awoke she found herself lying in a meadow on the side of a mountain capped with snow. She sat up and looked around to discover she was surrounded by these amazing snow-capped mountains. In the distance sat a great castle overlooking the valleys below with a river ambling between. The Demon King was huge and sat upon an impressively massive throne that covered the entire back wall from floor to ceiling like organ pipes in a cathedral. Ruben’s eyes narrowed as he took in the mighty beast languishing on his throne. He was clearly about twelve feet tall, long black hair fell down to his shoulders as two foot long curled black horns stuck through it on either side of his forehead. He was chiselled and cruel looking, his eyes were literally flaming, swirling with red, orange and yellow, the pupils slits, where the sclera were usually white his were black and bottomless. He was dressed in a black house coat embroidered with gold thread depicting dragons, his bare chest and astonishing abdominal muscles were displayed with arrogant pride. As Ruben stepped into the private rooms at the top of a massive tower that were once occupied by Basille he looked around with distaste before looking up and gasping. “Holy shit, this is not what I expected…” The entire ceiling was see-through to the sky like a massive atrium. It was dark outside and they could see a million stars twinkling down on them. Kat hugged her arms around herself as she looked around the room with a small pout. “Even though this room was Basille’s it was my most favourite room in the whole castle.” She looked up at the sky with a whimsical smile. After tidying themselves up they walked out of the catacombs and back up into the palace. Kat startled to see a small group of vampires waiting for them, amongst them was King Adicus Luisette, now wearing his crisp uniform jacket but instead of his peaked hat he wore the simple gold crown and looking very dashing. He smiled at them as everyone else applauded politely. Kat turned her head in embarrassment to see Ruben laughing with delight. He stepped forward and started shaking hands with the people waiting as they gave him their congratulations. Kat stayed where she was not sure if she should follow him or not. A voice behind her made her spin around with shock as Ruben did the same, grinning from ear to ear. “How about a hello to your favourite childhood friend?” Vladimir was standing there in all his flouncy glory, a young noble looking man standing behind him, both dressed up to the nines with frilly shirts and outrageous velvet suits. “Vladimir!” Ruben shouted with amazement.
