After tidying themselves up they walked out of the catacombs and back up into the palace. Kat startled to see a small group of vampires waiting for them, amongst them was King Adicus Luisette, now wearing his crisp uniform jacket but instead of his peaked hat he wore the simple gold crown and looking very dashing. He smiled at them as everyone else applauded politely.

Kat turned her head in embarrassment to see Ruben laughing with delight. He stepped forward and started shaking hands with the people waiting as they gave him their congratulations. Kat stayed where she was not sure if she should follow him or not.

A voice behind her made her spin around with shock as Ruben did the same, grinning from ear to ear.

“How about a hello to your favourite childhood friend?”

Vladimir was standing there in all his flouncy glory, a young noble looking man standing behind him, both dressed up to the nines with frilly shirts and outrageous velvet suits.

“Vladimir!” Ruben shouted with amazement.
