Chapter 7. Wedding night

(Ernesta POV)

The door closed.

Marcus didn't come in right away, he stood at the door, seemingly hesitating about something, which made me feel a little nervous, just sitting silently looking at him in the mirror.

What is he hesitating about? He doesn’t want to do that or regrets this decision already? Umg … It's also true anyway, although Eulalia and I are twins, there are many differences, perhaps that difference caused him to lose interest?

Actually, whether we do it tonight or not, it's all good for me, but the most important thing is to get rid of Marcus's doubts about my identity, I can't fail right from the start, so we must do that.

Looking at the clock on the table showing 11 o'clock, I took a deep breath and stood up. If he doesn't want to, I will, I will take the initiative.

Marcus suddenly stepped closer to me at this moment, his steady steps somewhat hurried. With each step he took, my heart rate increased, it seemed to jump out of my chest.

What does he want to do? Wait … does he want to hit me? How could I forget that behind that handsome face is a violent person?

For a moment, I panicked, my heart trembled slightly, my legs seemed to freeze, and my hands instinctively raised to hug my head. What a scary feeling. At least I need to protect this face.

The moment my hand reached my hair, my whole body was suddenly covered by a large arm. That's right, Marcus hugs me, an unexpected hug. His arms wrapped around my waist, his chin resting on my shoulder, which stunned me.

I slowly lowered my hand in hesitation, and with that, Marcus's deep voice rang out

"Honey, sorry to keep you waiting, your husband is back."

I opened my mouth but no sound came out. Is this really Marcus Johansen? Not the wrong person? Is this the violent person? Something is not right here.

Seeming to see me having a strange expression, Marcus tilted his head, tired eyes looking at me

"What's up?"

Obviously, I always react to unexpected situations very quickly and accurately but right now my mind is blank, I involuntarily voice the doubt in my heart.

“Are you Marcus Johansen?”

Oh no, I didn't mean to ask that even if it filled my mind, but surprisingly, Marcus wasn't angry about it

"Why do you ask that?"

“Because they say you are very… very…”

"Cold, unapproachable, and violent?"

I don't think he would respond like that.

Marcus laughed and walked around in front of me, taking my left hand and placing a gentlemanly kiss on it.

In just a few short minutes, he surprised me thrice.

Marcus still holds my hand, his eyes soft on me.

“Rumors are just rumors. I'm Marcus Johansen, that's the truth, the rest, why don't you feel it yourself?"

“Feeling it myself?”

"That's right"

Marcus suddenly pulled me towards him, my body pressed against him, I could feel his strong heartbeat and old warmth. His left hand wrapped around my waist, and his right hand stroked my hair.

"Honey, this is our wedding night, don't waste it"

Then he suddenly raised his voice

“Sonic, turn off the lights”

The whole room fell into darkness.

Wow, this room also has a smart system.

Although I was interested, I didn't have the mind to pay attention to it at the moment, I unconsciously hugged him tightly as if looking for safety.

Marcus seemed to enjoy this, and even though I couldn't see his face, I could still hear his small laugh and the sound of his heart pounding. He suddenly lowered himself down, grabbed my leg, lifted it, and walked away. I sensed it was towards the bed.

My eyes gradually got used to the darkness but since the room was completely devoid of even a single slit of light, everything was still in black, I could only feel it by touch.

Marcus gently laid me down on the bed, his whole body on top of me. Just when I thought he was going to start, he suddenly reached up and grabbed my hair. My heart stopped beating, my whole body immediately became tense, and fear came without warning.

When I heard him say those words, I thought he was an untrue rumor, thought he was a nice, polite man. Turns out it was just an illusion? Is this a way for him to start torture? Does he have a mental problem?

I closed my eyes, my eyelids trembling slightly.

If he wants to hit, hit it, why should he be gentle and then violent? Does he want to push his prey up high and then drag it down into the abyss? Was such torture just his style?

I was intimidated by my thoughts but at this point, who could think otherwise?

My whole body stiffened waiting for the terrible thing to come.

But suddenly, Marcus's voice came again with laughter.

“Why are you so tense? This is not the first time.”

Not the first time? What did he say? Has he and Eulalia done that before? Will I be discovered?

"But it's been a long time, you must have forgotten, let me help you remember. But before that…”

Marcus stopped, he suddenly grabbed my hair and pulled it down

"Let’s take this entanglement off"

My wig was thrown to the floor by him, revealing short, striking red hair that I'm sure he wouldn't be able to see.

I breathed a sigh of relief but didn't dare let my guard down.

Marcus's voice rang in my ears while he stroked my hair

"I can't see you, but I'm sure you look great in short hair"

Although I've heard this compliment many times, I can't deny that when it was uttered by Marcus, I was moved. But I still suppressed that feeling and curl my lips mocking

"Really? If you see it, you won’t say that."

Eulalia's hair is a gentle golden brown, and mine is an unusual orange-red color. Usually, guys will like Eulalia's style more than mine, they will think she's beautiful and cute, the style that women should have, not like me, I'm too strong, strange, and weird.

Marcus didn't immediately answer me, one hand propped at my side, the other slowly slipping into my skirt

“Want to bet?”

"Bet what?"

“If I like, can you not stress?”

I laughed at this suggestion of his, these two things have nothing to do with each other. Even so, I still answer

"I will try"

As soon as I finished my words, the bedside lamp came on, I frowned slightly at the sudden light. Just then, when it all became clear, the first thing I saw was Marcus' deep blue eyes just an arm's length away from mine.

I pursed my lips, the feeling now was not the tension of fear, but the tension of recovery. The man with messy hair and broad shoulders was on top of me.

I saw him smile, a sweet smile that wasn't cold at all. His arm stroked my hair and then moved to my chin, his fingers brushing my lips

"I like this color. You look gorgeous, baby."

I almost lost control of my emotions. That expression wasn't fake at all. Five years ago I felt his gentleness, and now I am even more immersed in it.

Suddenly, a bold thought popped into my head. I’m a substitute, so what? Now I'm his wife anyway, I have the right to do this.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, leaned forward slightly, and aimed directly at his lips.

Marcus was surprised for a few seconds but soon he reacted. He kissed me, his lips encircling mine, his mouth open, the tip of his tongue in. My skirt was pushed higher and higher, with that, every item on Marcus' body fell. The moment my hand touched his skin, I felt like there was some magical connection between us, something I’d inadvertently forgotten over the past five years, that drew us closer together, creating an amazing harmony.

That infatuation made me pause for a moment when I think that I was Eulalia's replacement and this man was supposed to be hers. But don't let me lose focus, Marcus moves faster, his lips are glued to mine, his arms are constantly moving over me making my whole body heat up, lust covers everything.

"Fortunately, I finally found you."

With that sentence, he entered me, and the tenderness of that year once again appeared making me unable to escape and not want to get out even though I knew that the person in his words was Eulalia, not me.
